Death was peaceful. When I woke up I was in a hallway. Not many doors. Two on my left, one on my right, and two at the end of the hallway. Choosing for the easiest way, I walked towards the doors in the middle. The one on the left said "Memories" in big gold letters, the door on the right said "Life Now". I didn't really understand what that one meant so I opened it....
Alec was leaning over Lia's body crying. And he never cried. Derek had a hand on Alec's shoulder while his head was hung. No one knew why Lia wasn't healing like she was supposed to. It was to late to figure it out. Brian had sunk down to his knees and gave a longing look at Lia. The only thing anyone had to worry about was Rylee. Derek knew he should be the one to tell her...but he didn't know how she would handle it. For all that Lia had done, Derek knew he needed to look after Rylee now. Whether or not she was his mate. No one knew where Beck was either....they all guessed he had run off somewhere. This was a sad day for everyone.
Finally Alec scooped Lia up in his arms and carried her to the hotel where everyone followed. Lia's body almost looked like she could be sleeping, but the way her head hung in a weird angle and the way her body looked so pale wasn't natural. Alec took the stairs so he didn't have to risk running into anybody in the elevator. He burst through the door and laid Lia down on the bed. Rylee was in the bathroom oblivious to what was going on. When she came out and saw everyone her face was happy at first.
"You guys are back! Thank God your okay," She said hugging Derek.
"Where's Alec and Lia," Rylee asked.
Derek just looked toward the bedroom and Rylee gave him a nervous look. She didn't know what to think. Maybe Alec or Lia were just hurt. But the sad and empty look in Derek's eyes meant something more.
"Derek?" She asked again.
"Lia...she uhh...Rylee she didn't make it," Derek finally spit out and he wanted to take it back after seeing Rylee's face.
"No. No, no, no, " Rylee said pushing through people to get to the bedroom.
Once she was there and saw Lia's body laying on the bed and Alec's form hunched over her...Rylee knew it was true.
"Lia...no. Wake up...please wake up," Ryle said shaking her best friend.
Then she broke down in tears. Hunched over on the floor, Rylee cried and cried. She felt a arms circle her and at the moment she didn't care who it was. She leaned into them and cried with all she had.
I ran. I ran as fast as I could back to the door. Once I made it, I slammed it shut. I didn't want to see that. It only made it harder.
"Why would you show me that!" I yelled to no one.
"The door was clearly labeled. You read it for yourself. Why did you go in there?" A voice from no where said.
"I didn't know it would show me that! Who are you? Are you God?" I asked.
"No. I'm Nialli. Goddess of all supernatural beings. I just so happen to be your creator," Nialli replied.
"So it was you who took me?" I asked feeling stupid.
"I did not take you child. That hideous Hunter took you. I simply brought you here once you died," Nialli said.
"Was this destined to happen?"
"Yes. It was. But not for many moons, child. You brought your fate earlier than it should have been."
"How?"
