Chapter 7

Jay's POV

It was Tuesday and I was sat in homeroom. I was bored out of my mind, when the bell went. I sighed and headed out and into my first lesson. I was in the corridor when I met Ace and Brodie. "Hey Jay have you seen Harley??" Asked Brodie. I gave him a confused look
"No she wasn't in homeroom and I haven't seen her, why??" They gave each other a look and turned back to me.

I gave them a weird look "ok are you going to tell me why you're worried about that Harley chick" they gave each other another look before answering
"Oh we just heard about how Layla was planning something against her and we wanted to know if she'd got to her yet." I shrugged
"Well I haven't seen her so I wouldn't know." After that we headed to class.

*Time skip Lunch time*

We where sat at our usual table when Layla came over in a outfit that only a stripper would wear. I noticed she had two of her morons with her. She stopped at our table "hey Jay" she said.
"Hey" I say not looking at her.
"So Jay I was thinking that you could come round mine later" I crinkled my nose up at the idea, I could practically smell her desperation.

"Listen Layla no offence but I'd rather have someone sew my eyelids closed and have my dick thrown to a tank of piranhas." From the corner of my eye I saw Ace and Brodie trying to cover up their laughter. Layla didn't seem too discouraged by answer. She smirked and lowered her lips to my ear "you won't feel like that for long." I had to restrain myself from gaging.
"Listen no one wants you here can't you catch a hint??" She giggled
"Don't worry you'll see me soon" she winked before turning on her heal "girls" was all she said before her mindless bimbos where at her heels.

I hit my head on the table and sighed. I heard Ace chuckle "come on dude it won't last long, it's just because you're the new kid, she'll forget about you soon. I rolled my eyes at them and we then began to talk about last night since Brodie had a couple of bad bruises and marks from his fight.

"Dude no offence but you completely got your ass handed to you" laughed Ace, Brodie rolled his eyes
"I still won so I don't see your point." We laughed an continued to speak about the other fighters when we got to Raven and her fight with Machete.
"We told you she fights like a demon" said Brodie.
"Yeah she's your worst nightmare in a fight I mean did you see her??" I rolled my eyes at them
"I wonder if she's alright I mean did you see the amount of hits to the head she got??" They nodded
"Yeah but Ravens one tough cookie so I'm sure she'll be fine I mean she's had worse" I gave them a quizzical look
"Yeah do you remember her fight with one of East Coast gym champions??" Replied Brodie.

I gave him a look and he rolled his eyes "the champions at East Coast are really competitive so they sent there best person to our gym to start a fight and Raven stopped him from destroying some of Northwood gym" I nodded in understanding since our gym Northwood and East Coast where huge rivals.
"So what happened to her??" I asked
"She got some serious damage, I think it was three fractured ribs a sprained wrist, busted knuckles and some terrible bruises and marks that bled when they fought"
"Really and she still fights??" Both of them nodded.
"Of course why wouldn't she?? I mean fighting is practically Raven's life" replied Ace.

After our conversation had finished the bell went "fuck going to history and whatever else, I'm skipping" the two of them laughed
"Come one then the gym is calling my name" joked Brodie; and with that we left school and headed to the gym.

Once we where at the gym and we where changed we headed into the main area which held the bags. As I suspected there was only a few people here. I noticed that a few champions where here, I'm guessing that they're the ones that don't go to school. There was Siren, Viper, Angel, Chaos and Ghost who where here. The girls where over by the rings while the guys where at the weights. Ace, Brodie and I headed over to the bags. Ace looked kinda worried "I wonder where Raven is" he said
"I'm sure she's ok, I mean it's not the worst injury. Maybe she's resting or something" replied Brodie.

I turned and began to practice on the bag while the two of them began to speak to the others. After a while we moved over to the weights. That was when Pixie walked in with Spider. The two of them where chatting. I checked the time to see that it was almost 9:00. I turned to Ace and Brodie "hey guys check it out" the checked the clock
"Shit have we really been here for that long??" Asked Brodie
"I guess we should get going then" replied Ace I stopped
"Wait didn't you say that Pixie was her best friend and that Spider was really close to her??" They both nodded
"Yeah, why??" Asked Brodie. I rolled my eyes at them
"Do I really need to spell it out for you??" They gave me dumbstruck looks so I continued "Pixie and Spider are close to her so they must know how she is, you two where worried about her so why don't we ask how she is??" I spoke really slow so I could mock them for their stupidity.

They agreed so we all walked over to the two of them. Pixie smiled "hey guys what's up??"
"Hey Pix, we where just wondering if you knew how Raven was" she smiled
"Raven's fine she's at home with Blade at the moment." She replied
"Are you sure she's ok though??" Asked Ace
"She's fine I've just come from her place we've been chilling all day watching movies since she didn't go to school today" replied Spider.
"Thanks guys, we where just worried for her I mean that many hits to the head can't be healthy" said Brodie
"I know but Ravens a tough kid she'll be fine" Ace and Brodie continued to speak for a little while longer before we headed home.
