Chapter 13

Harley's POV

It had been a week of complete bullshit and it was now Wednesday again which means I have drama with Jay. This is going to be great, note the sarcasm. Anyway I got up and dressed in some black skinny jeans, a vest and a baggy jumper that went down to my knees before putting on a pair of trainers and running downstairs for breakfast. Once I'd finished and I knew I had everything I headed out the door and drove to school.

As soon as I arrived I headed straight to my locker to get rid of everything I didn't need for my first three lessons. After that I headed to homeroom.

*Time skip to drama*

As soon as I walked through the door I grabbed one of the laptops and began looking up things for our scene. Soon after I felt the chair next to me move, I glanced up quickly and saw it was Jay before continuing looking for a scene for us. After a little while and nothin coming up I sighed out in frustration. "Why so glum chum??" Asked Jay. I cracked a small smile
"I can't find a scene for us to do and we haven't got all that long before the teacher wants to see it." He nodded and took the laptop.

"Right so we wanted a fight scene, yes??" I nodded and he continued "anything in particular, like props or just a fight??" I shrugged and he rolled his eyes " what about this scene??" He asked as he showed me the screen. I couldn't help the smile it was perfect it was a sword fight with some seriously awesome commentary insults and comebacks.
"This is perfect although it will take a while to say all this stuff with out laughing this is going to be great." He smiled "glad you think so..." He was cut off by the bell ringing. I looked down at my watch had two hours passed that fast already?? Wow "so when do you want to practice??" I frowned
"I don't know I'm free most nights we'll have to meet up at some point and decide." I said before grabbing my stuff and leaving. Heading to fourth period.

*Time skip lunch*

I ran into the cafeteria and sat at my normal table when the chair next to me was pulled out. "Hey mind if I sit here??" Asked the voice. I looked up to see Jay
"It's vacant but I don't know why you'd want to sit there" he chuckled
"So about drama, where and when do you want to practice??" I thought about it
"How about tomorrow after school??" I asked he nodded
"Cool now we just need a venue" he looked deep in thought before saying "we can practice in my back garden it's big enough for the scene." I smiled
"Cool and I know where we can get the swords or any other props." He nodded
"Cool well if you can get that and bring it tomorrow that'd be awesome. And then if you drive behind me tomorrow we can practice" I nodded
"Sounds good, see you tomorrow then" he chuckled and headed over to his normal table.

Jay's POV

Once I was at my table Ace and Brodie joined me shortly after I'd sat down. "What where you doing at Harley's table??" Asked Ace, I just smiled
"I was just organising something for drama" they rolled their eyes at me
"So what's happening then??"
"Well we've organised to meet at my house and she's gonna bring the props that we need" they nodded "oh yeah um you guys couldn't do me a huge favour and take Alec for the day could you??" They smiled
"We'll take him for the day it'll be fun." I smiled
"Thank s guys it's just that I do t want Alec playing with some of the props or running around while we're trying to practice."

Once everything had been organised we headed to our next class.

*Time skip Thursday after school*

Today Harley would be coming around my house so we could practice our routine. I was outside school leaning on my car waiting for Harley. I was staring into space until I felt a hand on my shoulder. My head whipped to the left, I relaxed when I saw it was Harley. " 'bout time you got here" she rolled her eyes
"Stupid teacher kept me behind" I chuckled
"Just follow me and then we can practice." She nodded and headed to her car.

I got into my own and started the engine once I saw she was close I began heading out the schools parking lot. She followed me all the way to my house. Once I parked up and got out I headed to the door. She followed behind me I stuck my key in the door and turned it. I pushed open the door. Here we go I thought before stepping inside.

Harley's POV

He stepped inside the house an I followed. As soon as I stepped inside my mouth dropped open. This place was awesome. He lead me to the kitchen "before we start practicing do you want anything, water, juice, biscuits??" I smiled
"Just a water please" he nodded and grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge
"Catch" he said as he tossed it to me. I caught it one handed from where I was leaning on the wall. "Great reflexes" I smiled
"Thanks"

After we'd got everything we headed out in the garden to practice. At first we weren't all that good with the swords but we eventually got use to it and where able to get a good fight going. We practiced for about two hours before we went inside for a break. We where just laughing at the commentary that we'd have to do when the door opened. "Hey Jay we're back"
"Where are you Jay??" Called a childish sounding voice.

Soon after a kid who looked about five came running in. He was completely adorable with black hair and bright green eyes. He ran up to Jay and hugged him. He was followed by Ace and Brodie I smiled up them
"Sup dudes??" They smiled
"We didn't interrupt did we??" Jay shook his head
"Nah we where just finishing up anyway."

The little boy came to where I was sat "hi I'm Alec" I smiled
"Hi Alec I'm Harley" he smiled at me. I turned to Jay for an explanation. He smiled sheepishly,
"Alec why don't you go show Brodie and Ace your new remote control car" he smiled and raced off dragging the two teens behind him I couldn't help but smile at him.

I turned to Jay and he sighed "before you say anything no he's not my kid, he's my little brother" I nodded and he continued "I've been looking after him for just over two years now." I nodded
"What happened??" He looked at the floor "it's sad really mum didn't want anymore kids so sweet left us for some rich tool. Dad stayed for a while and then when Alec was about three he just didn't come home. I had just turned sixteen."

I sat next to him and put my hand on his. I smiled at him reassuringly "I kinda get what your going through but think on the bright side at least you've got help from Ace and Brodie" he smiled
"Yeah and Alec's best friend Ben, his mum takes Alec when I have to do something else." I knew immediately that he meant fight. I guess that's why he didn't show up to many of the practices.

He turned to me "what do you mean you know what I'm going through?? Do you have a younger sibling??" I smiled
"No I am the younger sibling" he scooted closer to me
"Wanna talk about it??" I smiled
"You told me it's only fair I do the same."
"Does this have anything to do with what your brother said at the hospital??" I was confused
"What'd he say at the hospital??"
"He said that he wanted to see you because you where all he had left." I nodded
"Yeah it's that" I then told him about what happened and how Hunter had looked after me since.

*Time skip a few weeks later*

Jays POV

Harley and I had practiced out routine to perfection. We'd also become good friends during the past few weeks, I guess secret spilling can do that to people. Today we'd be showing our scene in drama to the whole class.

As soon as I entered the drama room I was pulled over by the teacher he smiled "ok Jay so you and Harley will show your scene third" I nodded
"Ok sir" with that he walked away. I made my way over to my seat and waited for everything to begin. Not long after Harley sat next to me
"When do we show our routine??"
"We show ours third." She nodded and looked to the front.

"Ok class" vegan the teacher "today we'll be checking the acting section of this class, next week will be the dancers and finally the singers." After that the first pair got up and performed. They where pretty good. The second pair not so much they kept forgetting their lines and their movements where robotic almost. Next it was Harley and I. We got the props ready and began our scene.

*time skip end of drama*

Our routine was the best by far and I'm not just saying that in fact the teacher even agreed that we'd done amazingly. Hmm never thought I'd be any good at acting.
