I had French just before lunch break and by the time I packed up, Arthur was probably already eating so I decided to walk straight to the cafeteria. I saw him eating on his own. I got my food and walked to him when Tom called. "Charlie! Come and join us!" He yelled. I turned my back at them and sat next to Arthur. I smiled looking at him. "Why are you smiling like that? It's creepy." I chuckled. "I was just smiling. Why don't you have friends?" He shrugged. "Why don't you hangout with Tom?" I frowned. He giggled. I laughed. "But really. Your kind, funny, intelligent, smart, polite, your well brought up, you don't judge, you have a nice smile and your laugh is great, plus you're cute-" My cheeks flushed a bit as I realised what I said. "Plenty of qualities." I mumbled. I peeked at him to see his cheeks bright read. I chuckled and ate. "I mean who would want to hangout with a faggot?!" I glared at him. "First of all, I would. And second of all, that can seriously damage your mind. Take it from me, personal experience." He frowned. "What happened?" I looked at him and sighed. "At 6 years old, I got adopted and when I was at school, I used to think guys were so much cuter than girls and I'd just talk about them. My adoptive family said I couldn't think that or I would die in hell and stuff like that. At 12, I had a crush on someone who happened to be a guy. When I told him, he called me names including faggot. My family called me other names and would say horrible stuff. They sent me back two months later. So I decided it was best to never say or show my interest in guys and I... I think I will die in hell and stuff. And I know it's not true, but sometimes I can't help thinking it is." He just stared at me. "And I actually found someone like me." I said smiling. "You." He chuckled. "That's worst than me." I shrugged. "It's the passed." He stole a bit of meet from my plate. I laughed. "You're lucky I don't like the food." He laughed. "And if Tom gives you any trouble just call me. I'll kick his ass." He chuckled. "Could you teach me how to fight?" I looked at him. "Yes I can. But if it's because you don't like yourself or something then no. Because there's only one you and some people like that you. So if it is because of that, learn how to love yourself and not fight." He smiled. "Thank you Papa." I laughed. "Don't exaggerate." He laughed.

"Is your stomach still hurting?" I asked, walking down the street. "Em... Yeah. It'll pass." I glared at him. "When we get to your house you should put some ice on it." He shook his head. "No. My parents will find out." I sighed. "They won't if we do it discreetly." He sighed. "Fine." I smiled satisfyingly. He chuckled. "How does Tom know you're... You're gay?" He took a deep breath. "He was my best friend since high school. When I told him, he hit me until I blanked out. He's been bullying me ever since." My mouth dropped to the floor. "That is awful." He shrugged. "Maybe." We arrived to his house. I took my shoes and coat off. "I'll get some ice." I told Arthur. "Under the fridge." I nodded. I took a freezer bag and put the ice in. I took a kitchen towel with it and walked to his bedroom. I knocked. "Come on in Charlie." I nodded. He smiled. "You should probably lie down on your bed." He nodded. "Em... You... You need to take your shirt off." He chuckled. He winced as he tried to take the buttons off. I moved his hands away and replaced them and unbuttoned his shirt. I could feel my heart racing and I don't know why. I could imagine myself kissing his chest and touching him allover. I could see myself kissing his lips and feeling his warm lips on mine. I blushed realising what I was thinking. I continued what I was doing. I took the shirt off after. The bruise was big and it was all blue and purple. I touched it carefully. It was mostly a reason to touch his chest really. I wrapped the ice in the kitchen towel and laid it carefully on his chest. "Ow." He said tensing up. "Sorry." He smiled. "I'll give you two days to rest and then we'll start your fighting lessons." I said. His eyes lit up. "Really?" I chuckled and nodded. "Really." He smiled. "Dinner time!" I heard his mum yell. He sighed. I took the ice off. "So much for the ice." He chuckled. He winced as he got up. I took his shirt and helped him put it on. I felt so hot. Just being near him made my blood pressure go higher. Even though I knew that it was wrong, I couldn't help but be happy that he was like me. He was attracted to guys too. I buttoned his shirt up. "So em... You never told me if y..you were g..gay." He said. He looked nervous. He stuttered too. I smiled and chuckled. "I... I think so." He nodded. We walked downstairs.
