ARIANNA'S POV
I walked on the pavement carefully; trying to not step on the cracks because you know, step on the crack will break your mother's back. That phrase really scared me as a child but I still get goose bumps every time children didn't take that phrase seriously. "(Cue cheesy ringtone)", I pressed the green button on my phone after reading who the dialler was.
"Hey, where are you ?" he asked.
"At the park. Why-"
"Awesome. Just wait there, okay ?" he added.
"But Niall-" and he hung up on me. Blimey ! How exciting !
I continued until I was at the of the park, standing beside the road. I sat on an old woody bench, watching as the cars pass by. I remembered the time when I was small. When my father took me to buy ice-creams, I always started to count the red cars with my father once we got our ice-creams. My father counted all the blue cars and we would have this little competition which cars are the most likely to pass us.
"Ello there, daydreamer." I grinned sheepishly. "Come on in." He invited me through the window. I entered his car, sitting beside the driver. His car had a very odd smell; like the smell of burnt marshmallows.
"Why'd you pick me up ?"
"I was just around the corner when you told me you were at the park." he replied.
"But I thought-"
"We are going on a date, right ?" he added. The corner of his lips rose.
"While I'm wearing like this?" I said while tugging my overly-long sleeve.
"You still look beautiful to me." I smiled, I could feel my cheeks were bright red.
There was silence for awhile. Not technically because the radio was on but silence. I stared outside the window until a question popped up in my head.
"Where are we going ?"
"To my studio." His eyes locked on the road.
"Your studio..?" I squinted my eyes but no replies.
I went back to my previous position, reading the road signs which I have never heard or knew of.
"We're here." Niall said while pulling the brake and turned off the engine. I walked out of the car and saw a small shop across me. I studied the little shop carefully; the unique architecture of the building, the large glass that people could watch straight into the shop and how we can see a black piano standing strong in it.
"Earth toArianna." He waved his hand in front of me, making me startled a bit."So, what do you think ?" I read the shop's name one last time; Anna's Violin. "It's perfectlyawesome. I mean-" he laughed and pulled me into the sho- studio. He openedthe door and there was a bell ringing above it. We walked across the studio, myhand still held by Niall. I let my free fingers trace the grand piano, shiversrunning down my spine.
