Chapter 1 Shelby

Introduction to ME.

My name is Shelby Jones and my sister name is Brianna Jones she's also my best friend. We are 4 years apart Brianna is the oldest (32) and I'm the youngest (28). Brianna and I are both curvy woman that has average size chest, flat stomachs with round buns, so it's safe to say we've got it going on. Bri is 5'2 with long thick jet black hair with chocolatey beautiful skin, she has thick eyebrows and full lips. Her style is more professional with a hint of sexy chic, heels are a must but flats are definitely an option. I'm 5'5 with smooth brown skin and naturally curly thick jet black hair that falls to the center of my back and full lips. My style is more sexy causal.

We're both establish black woman who graduated from Mercy and Hunter college with honors. Bri got her Bachelors in Art and History and minored in Business Education with a Masters in Special Education. I got my Bachelors in School Counseling and minored in Physiology with a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. We are both business owners, Brianna owns an art studio in the Bronx and works in a middle school teaching special education. I own a marriage and family therapy private practice in downtown Manhattan and works in a high school as a guidance counselor. We live together in a spacious loft up in Riverdale N.Y. I drive my dream car a Lincoln MKZ all black everything. I have no kids but a dog name Montana it's a girl. Brianna also drives her dream car which is a Range Rover. Bri's been in a 2 year relationship with the very successful, very handsome Chef Johan Martinez he owns a chain of restaurants.

I'm just a regular woman with big time man problems. You know that Jay-Z song I got 99 problems but a bitch ain't one? Well you can say I have 99 blessings but a man ain't one. Before y'all get into my business and every aspect of my life, I want to give you a little background on me before the success. Bri and I was raised by a single mother which did her very best considering where Bri and I are in life, Right? Anywho we had a very different upbringing from the normal "American family" our mom Evelyn and dad George were married but got divorced. When Bri was 6 and 2 we were homeless and lived in more shelters in New York than I can count. Finally we got out the shelter and was placed in a 3 bedroom apartment in Queens. We haven't heard from our sperm donor since then it's been about 20 plus years and no sign of him. The sperm donor not being in our life haven't had that much of an impact. My mom comes from a nice size family of 1 sister and 4 brothers, Bri and I had plenty of good male figures in our life. So Its very questionable why I have such a hard time with men.

Brianna and I are different as night and day. Bri is more compassionate, careful, and filtered. She doesn't like making people feel bad, or telling them how it is. She will sugar coat most things then vent to me about it later. Bri's kind, creative, and artistic. On the other hand I'm the poler opposite, I'm tough, unforgiven, unfiltered. I say it how it is and means it how I say it. Just because I have a hard exterior doesn't mean I'm a bitch. I'm very blunt but has a beautiful heart and soul much like Bri.
