We stop outside the door and he reaches for the knob. The door is pushed open and the first thing I see is Lucifer.

We stand on a balcony and a statue of Lucifer sits in the center down below us. I can see blood on the cement floor from the many lives that was taken as punishment for disobeying his laws and the soles still haunts till this day.

A chair, specifically for me, sits in front of me and my escort pulls it out for me to sit.

"Thank you," I said and take my seat.

He stands behind my chair and we wait in silence. Looking to my left, the balcony extends around the room and six separate chairs sit in a semi circle behind a table.

This is new

The sound of a door opening startles me, and I stand. I face the door behind me as my husband nods off my Sire Anton. When he is gone, Jacob takes my hand in his and presses his warm lips against it then to my lips.

"I knew you'd look beautiful in this dress," he says, his eyes raking slowly over my body. "Black is beautiful on you."

I force a smile on my face, but as always, he sees right through it.

"There's nothing to be afraid of, Amma," he says firmly. "If anything I should be the one worrying."

"Indeed you should," a deep voice booms and we both turn our attention towards the door once more. A short chubby man wobbles inside and I nearly gag at the smell of onions and wine.

"Come on men!" He shouts behind him.

"I'm coming you old hag!" A tall man shouts angrily. The weight of his body leans against his black cane; giving him a kind of old appearance.

Another tall man walks in but he doesn't speak. His trench coat drags on my ground behind him and he nods his head in our direction. Jacob nods in return and I smile back.

"Hello everyone," a voice behind him says followed by another small guy who also says nothing.

They all make their way to their seats but one is missing. I look at Jacob in confusion.

"Shouldn't my uncle be attending?" I ask as we take our seats.

He barely looks over at the empty seat where my uncle should be at. "He was notified about the meeting. I made sure of it."

I look over at the seat again, practically praying for him to come. If he comes, I can tell him everything. And maybe..... He can search for my babies. He can find them and take them in until I can find a way to leave. Uncle Adam loves kids, and he always have. And once he finds out about what happened to his own flesh and blood......

My heart aches for him to walk through those double doors behind me. But he doesn't. And my husband rises from his seat.

"Open the doors," he orders and I look down at the men dressed in black guarding the double doors below us.

They turn and yank the chains off the doors, and it flies open. A crowd of people, demons I should say, rushes in and they all rush towards the few seats around the statue of Lucifer. When the chairs run out, others stood in the back but still in sight. They all talk loudly and quickly in their own languages. My head pounds from the noise and I look up at Jacob. He stands up straight and tall and its almost hard to believe he's only 20.

He raises his hand and they all stop speaking. I watch in disbelief at how they all stop and look up at my husband like some ruler.

"We all know why we're here," he starts, looking at every one in the room. "To the left of me, I am honored in having the Elders join me in this very court room this evening." The Elders stand and turn to Jacob before he nods and they take their seats again. "And, of course, to the right of me is my lovely wife Amma Ezia Abernathy." He holds his hand out for me to grab and I do so; rising from my seat and standing by his side.

I plant a kiss on his cheek and everyone sighs and cheers. He holds his hand up once more and they quiet down.

"Bring him in," He demands and everyone's attention goes to the door once more as a figure starts to emerge.
