i have long since stopped pondering the logistics behind why i hate saying 'hello', or why i choose to save my greetings for long after i meet the person in general.
a lot of times i think it's because saying hello is branding a person- speaking to them has made them a human being you now have to care about.
so i avoid it.
i instead choose to welcome people. i will welcome you because although it is synoymous of hello, welcome is often something you say to people when they are guests in your home.
they are guests in my life.
who knows if they'll stick around?
so, welcome.
i'm a messed up girl with a messed up way of thinking.
i hope i find my hellos in all of you.
