(Y/N)s first day back in the recording studio had been at least semi successful. She had recorded at a few new songs, most of them being fakes for her little Mettaton project. That's what she was calling it now. A plan seemed too formal, like it was an easy one-two-three thing. A project was much more appropriate, what with all of the small casualties she needed to handle.

(Y/N) put her phone on the table. She'd decided to hang out in the break room for a while before getting back to work. Alas, she knew that everyone else had drank all of the coffee she so desperately needed.

Suddenly, her phone dinged. Ali had texted her.

'Saw ur tweet, I'd suggest checking ur replies... >.>'

"Oh jesus christ, what'd I do this time. All I did was say I wanted co-" she trailed off, eyes glued to her phone screen.

That bastard never ceased to one up her in terms of fake affection. (Y/N) groaned, but was still unbelievably grateful. She needed her morning coffee.

The break room door swung open. "Guess who's here gorgeous!"

(Y/N) rolled her eyes. "I'm the only one in here android, you can drop the act, hand me the coffee and leave."

The pleasant smile he'd given her faltered slightly. "Nonsense. After all, we still have to build appearances don't we? And besides, we should at least try to get to know each other better, since we are going to have to start dating eventually."

(Y/N) was taken aback. She had expected the same coldness she'd given, to be given back to her. Mettaton was being far too nice. (Y/N) had grown accustomed to assuming he was nothing more than just a shallow, vain, self absorbed, calculator with sexy legs.

"Oh, I guess so..." She mumbled as Mettaton sat on the opposite end of the couch. (Y/N) took her coffee, drinking it mainly to avoid conversation. She should probably post a thank you in response, just for the insane shippers, and fans.
