Divergent no war 2

Chapter 12

Tris' POV

We are on our way back to dauntless and I'm sitting across from a tied up Eric who is being held by Zeke and Uriah. Tobias had to stay in the other car and get his wound stitched up by Will. And Eric was thrashing around so that's why Zeke and Uri are holding him. 

He has a gunshot wound to the foot. He was stupid enough to try to run away and I sprung into action, shooting him in the foot and tying his arms and legs together. Now that we found the man who possibly ruined Teigons life, we just have to wait to get to dauntless.

We are walking into headquarters, Zeke and I holding onto Eric and dragging him inside. He gave up on running or fighting a while ago, so he just cooperates with a scowl on his face. As we keep walking in though, the dauntless around look at us, going silent and staring at us with shock written on their faces.

We keep dragging him up to the stage. I have my instructor face on, and when I have that on, everyone knows that this shit is serious. I never have my instructor face on unless initiates that we are training are around.

We drag him up the stage, Tobias on my heels, and tie him to a chair. I can hear the dauntless whispering and see a few of the old initiates that weren't around when Eric was looking around with confused faces.

Tobias goes up to the mic and the first thing I see is the blood seeping through the gauze.

"If you couldn't tell already, Eric is not dead. Candor lied to us. He was imprisoned for a year before being allowed to leave, and he came back to dauntless without any of us knowing. He was the one lurking in the shadows if anyone saw him. And he was the one who stabbed Teigon, Tris and I's son. Because of him, our child has a third of his leg missing. Now he's going to pay for everything he's done. We will be executing him, right here, right now, so if you don't want to see I suggest you leave."

Some of the dauntless with there children leave and Zeke walks off the stage standing at the side. Tobias, Harrison, Bud, and I all grab a gun, but only one is loaded. No one will know who did it.

"Wait." Eric say and looks straight at Tobias and I. "If anyone executes me, I want it to be the both of you. I want you to be the ones to feel the guilt." 

I laugh and look right into his eyes. "There will be no guilt. You stabbed my son and helped in the plan to overthrow my old faction."

We both load our gun and aim at his head. I look up at Tobias and he looks back, his eyes full of determination. I give him a little nod and we both inhale, aim, then fire.

Eric's head slumps to the side and dauntless is going wild. They are all screaming with rage towards Eric. Not one person doesn't look happy.

It's finally done and over with. No more Eric. Hopefully no more danger.
