A Talk with the Mom

From the moment we left Gene and Arimi’s house, Matt had been grinning nonstop. I want to be annoyed, but I can’t. I don’t have the energy to do so; I’ve been feeling lightheaded for quite some time now.

“What is so amusing?!” I asked as I leaned back on my seat and closing my eyes, trying to get comfortable as much as I can.

“I’m just so happy that you agreed to come and meet my mom…Hey, are you okay?!”

I jerked up as I felt the back of his hand touch my forehead. “Wha–”

“Are you sick or something?!” He frowned at me.

“I’m fine. I just ate a lot earlier.” I rolled my eyes and pushed his hand away. “And look in front of you when driving, or don’t drive at all. Idiot.”

He just chuckled. “Yes ma’am.”

I leaned back down, and before I know it we already arrived at the Roose Residence.

Going to the Roose Residence to meet Matt’s mom didn’t ever crossed my mind; it’s not like we’re really in love. It hadn’t even been a day since it was made official! But all thanks to Arimi and her mood swings, here I am…following Matt to their front door.

Earlier, when Matt and I finally went for lunch in their garden, and we told them that we’ve sorted things out, Arimi started acting so thrilled and suddenly called a bunch of people to let them know. And I almost jumped at her to stop her and shake some sense to her! I mean, seriously! Who in their right mind would do something like that?! Doing as she please in front of me and Matt like we’re not there at all! I felt like I was humiliated in front of people I don’t know, without being able to have a say to it. The chick just had to have all her conversations in loud speaker too!

And here I thought that because she’s the first lady of TD, she’ll make the most sense! But noooooo!!! She even started threatening Gene when he tried to stop her.

She’s like a spoiled brat, who just has to poke her nose to places that it isn’t needed and had the need to declare it to the world. Well, actually I think it’s just the guys from BF and some other people close to her, and of course Matt’s mom; however, it doesn’t change the fact that it’s not her business to tell anyone! What’s the big deal about it anyway?!

I bet Arimi and Aunt Marry will get along well…and Matt’s mom too. She squealed like a teenager and demanded that Matt bring me to their house as soon as we left Gene’s.

Aaaahhhhh!!!

All I wanna do is get back home and curl up in my bed…Why do I have to be here when I feel like I’m going to faint?!

Sigh.

It’s my entire fault for agreeing anyway. I should have just told them honestly that I wasn’t feeling well, and promise to meet her some other time. I’m sure she would have understood.

Well, whatever. I’m already here anyway. Let’s just hope that this meet and greet will be done before I make a fool of myself and hate myself more.

“Wiwi, are you sure you’re okay?!” Matt asked again, frowning at me. “Maybe I should just get you home. I’ll tell mom I’ll introduce you some other time.”

“I’m fine. It’s just the ride with a full stomach. And stop calling me that, it sounded like I’m a piss or something.”

“A what?!” His eyes were dancing in amusement, as he asked me with a straight face.

Sigh. Whatever. “Plus your mom is already here.”

“Matt! Wish! I’ve been waiting forever!” And she talks like a teenager. She hugged us simultaneously and looked at me warmly. “I’m so glad to finally meet you, Wish. Matt is such a slowpoke, making everyone wait...”
