The look of fear crossed my face. I was at a loss for words. I looked at the floor and back at Sara. I opened my mouth to speak, that's when I saw a smirk on her face.
"Could you be my hoe?"
She's back!!! Oh that bitch. Nicely played. I laughed back. "You really think giving me a heart attack is the best idea right now?!?"
"You bitch! But I'm happy you're okay. I love you! Don't ever scare me like that again!!!!" We talked to the doctor and Sara was to stay at the hospital for three days.
Dylan and I left after a long visit and decided to go have dinner. As all the trauma from these past few days subsided, I began to wonder my relationship with Dylan.
What exactly were we? He kissed me a few times, but what does that mean? As I began over thinking in my head, he looked at me with worry.
"Is everything okay?", he asked grabbing my hand. I shook my head and dropped the thoughts from my mind.
We had a normal dinner and he drove me home like always. He walked to the door and leaned in for a kiss. I was about to step into my apartment but he held onto my hand. "U-um can I ask you something?"
He looked nervous and uncomfortable. "Yea anything!", I replied. "I don't know if it was obvious yet, but I was wondering if you um.... would be my girlfriend?"
He said it in a jumbled mess and so fast I barely caught it. I leaned in to kiss him, "Of course".
He smiled to himself, and let out a deep breath in relief. I walked into the apartment and did a happy dance. I walked to my window and watched Dylan get into his car.
He was doing his own happy dance in the middle of the street until a car beeped for him to move out if the way. He jumped a little and quickly got into his car.
I giggled to myself, he was a goofball. I was glad he invited me to his sister's funeral. I wanted to be there for him like he was for me.
As I was getting ready for bed, I checked my emails. Nina emailed me all the appointments I had to make up, I had a busy day tomorrow. I wouldn't be able to visit Sara.
I woke up the next day and quickly got ready for work. It dragged on with nothing exciting happening.
Dylan texted me during my break.
{Hey babe, so my mom arranged Charlottes funeral for this weekend. I'm hoping you can make it.}
{Of course I'll be there!}
{Thanks for doing this, I really appreciate it <3 }
I took the subway home and ordered take-out.
I was watching "Bride Wars" when my cell rang.
"Hey Nina", I answered.
"Hey! One of your patients requested an early session tomorrow. Is that okay? They said its an emergency."
"Sure. Who is it?"
"Martha Stevens."
What could this emergency be?
