He went to the back of his car and pulled out my guitar. "There's an open mic night and Sara told me you've been playing a little every night."
"I signed you up and I'm sorry if that was crossing a boundary, but you love playing so why not."
I looked at him shocked and in awe. He really thought about this and I appreciated it a lot.
I took my guitar and kissed him on the cheek, "Thank you, I love this date already." He smiled and grabbed my hand pulling me into the café.
We sat down at a booth and listened to a few other people. They were really good, I probably paled into comparison to them.
All of a sudden, "Bree Ralic", I gulped and stood up. I went up on stage and took a deep breath. "So my boyfriend signed me up for this. He made me realize I shouldn't give up what I love. This is for him."
"It's a little bit funny, this feeling inside. I'm not one of those, who easily hide."
"My gift is my song and this one's for you. And you can tell everybody this is your song."
"How wonderful life is, while you're in the world"
After I finished, there was loud applause everywhere. I went back to the booth and he pulled me in. "Thank you, that was beautiful", he whispered in my hair.
We stayed for a few more performances then left to eat at a diner. We laughed, talked, and played the jukebox at our table.
He dropped me home, at my door he pushed me against it and kissed me tenderly. His grip became tighter around my waist and my hands traveled from his chest to his thick soft hair.
He moved one of his hands and tangled it in my hair. He licked my bottom lip asking for entrance, I granted it.
I pulled him closer to me, making us both moan. We both pulled back slightly to breathe, staring at each other. He kissed my nose, "I'll see you tomorrow."
I slept with a smile plastered on my face the whole night. The next day I woke up and put on a tight mid thigh black dress and black peep toe heels.
I chatted with Sara while making eggs for breakfast. We ate and I grabbed my purse making sure, I had everything.
I heard a knock at the door and I opened it with a smile. The smile quickly turned into a frown, Dylan was standing at my door in tears.
I hugged him tightly, "Hey what's wrong?" I nuzzled my face into the crook of his neck. He sobbed quietly.
"I can't go to my sister's funeral........"
