I poured my heart out to Sara last night and I felt much better. When I got to my office their was a vase of red roses on my desk. There was a note attached to it:
Had an amazing night! Hope to see you soon ~D
He was so sweet. Of course I didn't have anything against him because he wasn't aware of my past. I doubted he would do what Damon did to me, but I always had that feeling.
After the walk home from work, I was exhausted. I took a long bath, relaxing and watching tv. Sara came home with a loud bang closing the door.
She ran over to me, "How are you doing, sweetie?" I assured her I was fine. "Why aren't you getting ready for your date?", she questioned. I looked at her, confused.
"How did you know about that?" Her eyes widened and she slowly shrugged.
"Do you know something I don't", I asked.
"N-no w-what would make you think that", she quickly said and sprinted to her room. I chased her, as the door slammed in my face. I pounded my fist against the door,
"SARA MARIE TODD YOU OPEN THIS DOOR RIGHT NOW AND TELL ME WHAT YOU KNOW?"
I heard nothing. She's stubborn like that, I decided to drop it and get ready. I slipped on a royal blue satin dress. I was strapless with a sweetheart neckline and synched at the waist.
I heard a knock at the door and went to open it. "You look amazing...." I blushed and grabbed my purse. I followed him to the car, as he opened the door. The drive to the restaurant was silent. Once we arrived I couldn't help to suppress a gasp.
The restaurant was beautiful. There was a single table outside with hanging lanterns surrounding it and bushes blooming with red roses.
"Do you like it?" Dylan asked nervously, scratching the back of his neck. I nodded and took in everything with wide eyes and a big grin.
We sat down and ordered our meals. Dylan took my hand and look right into my eyes.
"Sara talked to me this morning and I want you to know I would never hurt you the way Damien did. I know we haven't known each other long, but I like you a lot and I would never cheat on you."
I smiled as a tear slipped out. I turned my head away and swallowed. I looked up at his face, "Thank you. Even though I know you wouldn't, I always put my guard up just in case."
We finished our amazing dinner and went on the boardwalk. It got windy and he shrugged off his jacket for me. "T-t-thanks", I said with my teeth chattering.
He drove me home, smiles on both our faces. This night made me realize, Dylan wasn't like Damien in any way. Their personalities were totally different.
I felt content and comfortable with Dylan. When I was with Damien, I always tried to be perfect and wanted. It was exhausting and only got me hurt in the end.
He dropped me off at my building and walked me in. "I was um uh wondering if you would like to go to a new club downtown with my friends I tomorrow?" He smiled sheepishly at me.
"Meet your friends? I thought you wanted to keep this a secret?" I said confused. "We'll I meant only my parents, I want my friends to meet you. I want to show everyone you're mine."
I giggled as heat rose to my cheeks. I agreed to go and Dylan hugged me spinning. He swept me off my feet, kissing me lustfully.
I wish this night would last forever.......
