Chapter 5 [Harmony]

I can't believe Melody hasn't figured it out. We walk to our last class my 2nd favorite class, after Music, AP Com. Arts. We walked in class and saw none of our friends there. We sat down. I sat down in the front, while Melody sat right next to me. The other desk next to me was with a kid. He had pale, almost white hair and pale skin. His eyes completely contradicted it. They were bark brown. The teacher started class by saying

"Hello class, I am Mr.Tapony, and this year we have a new student, Sage Wiln. Come on up and tells us about yourself." The kid next to me stood up and spoke in a semi-quiet voice

"Hello. I am a fan of fantasy. My favorite book is probably Harry Potter by J.K Rowling. I know it is too easy, but she is a great writer. I hope to join the newspaper. I am going to sit down now." He sat back down and the class went by

Finally class ended and I decided to talk to the new kid.

"Hi, I am Harmony Song," I suddenly felt a grip on my shoulder and someone yelling in my ear

"BOO!" Sage smiled, I continued my conversation

"This is my annoying twin sister, Melody."

"Yup, I am the definition of annoying." Sage spoke in a normal voice

"Fraternal twin, definitely." He laughed, which was very bright

"Yup, want to walk with us?" He thought for a second.

"Sure, you guys driving home." Melody answered this one

"Nope, bikes, but we are actually meeting my friend." We walked down to the front of the building and separated.

"See ya tomorrow, Sage" I started fiddling with my necklace. Sage was kinda cute. I am not as good as hiding emotions as Melody is. So, she noticed

"You like him." She said that blatantly, no sugar coating. Wow.

"I do not!"

"Sure, come on. We have to meet with Alex." I smiled. She was as clueless as a parrot with a blanket covering its face.

"So clueless. Come on." I gave up. I am not one for gossip so that is why I'm not telling Melody. We found Alex and Angel in front of the school. Angel looked over to me and spoke in her small voice

"Everyone had places to go, I want to go to the park, but not alone. I wanted to hang with my friends on the first day of school. You guys are the only one left. So what about it?" She gave me puppy dog eyes. She knew my weaknesses

"Gah! Puppies! Come on. Let's go." We all headed to the community park and I hung out with Angel on the benches, while Alex and Melody played basketball.

We hung out for about an hour and decided it was time to go home when Angel's Mom texted her. We walked over to our house and I opened the door. Everything was really dark. Suddenly, the lights turned on and people jumped out from behind things, yelling

"SURPRISE!" Then it jumped to me. It was our birthday! I turned to Melody, who was already joyful. Then, Alex pulled two boxes out of his bag. He pulled a large box that was black with a blue ribbon and a medium sized white box with pink roses out. He gave each of us one. I saw a whole row of presents on the table. They were separated, half for me and have for Melody. Our seventeenth birthday! There was also 2 cakes. This was great, especially for Melody. She has always wanted a surprise party. She was so glad she started fidgeting.

"Might want to get started before Melody dies." She nodded

"That is true." We danced and partied for awhile. Then a knock came. Sage was at the door. What the heck was he doing here! He smiled when I opened the door.
