"Of course you can!"
I grinned happily at Lisa. I had just told her about the competition in two weeks. It felt weird having to ask if I could do a competition, because back home I normally just told my mom and she'd have me signed up before you could say 'ice,' but I also felt like I needed to.
"Honey, you've already been here three weeks. There's no need for you to ask, especially if it's stuff like that! I understand you want to skate, and I'm not going to stand in the way of that." My grin grew wider and I stepped forwards to give her a hug. She hugged back, then pulled away and looked at me. "What about your dress? Don't ice skaters have some sort of uniform or something?"
I giggled. "I'm going shopping for one later with Madi and Cass." Yeah, I had also gotten closer to the girls like I had the guys. Lisa nodded.
"Take a picture when you find one and send it to me." I nodded, telling her okay, then walked into the living room where four guys were playing Xbox. Will was watching them in amusement, until I sat down and he switched his attention to me.
"Do you not like Xbox or something?" I asked, smiling at him. He chuckled.
"No, I do. I'm just not in the mood to play today."
"Ah, okay." We watched the boys continue playing, COD. The screen was cut in four sections, Dalton top right, Dana top left, Gabe bottom left, and Cole bottom right. Dana was standing on a building, I think. He was looking through his scope and following another player, until he finally shot them in the head.
"Headshot," he muttered, smirking at Dalton, who just died. Dalton glared at him.
"I'm coming for you," he threatened, sounding creepy.
"So," Will said, looking back at me,"what are you doing today?"
I checked my phone, seeing I had a message from Cass, and replied,"I'm going shopping for a dress with Cassidy and Madison."
"What do you need a dress for?" Cole asked, his eyes focused on the screen.
"For my competition in two weeks." Gabe paused the game and they all looked back at me in confusion. Oops, I think Will was the only one who knew I was an figure skater. "I'm a figure skater."
"That would explain a lot," Dalton said, looking at Cole. Gabe unpaused the game and they went back to playing. Will decided to ask me another question.
"Aren't those dresses, like, really short?" I nervously smiled.
"Ha, yeah...."
"I am so coming to watch you." Dalton got his revenge on Dana by coming up behind him and shooting him. When Dana dropped dead, he didn't seem the least bit bothered. Instead, he turned and looked at Will, shocked. I wasn't sure why he was so shocked, I mean, Will was joking around.
My phone buzzed. Cassidy told me she was outside, and I stood up. "Well, I'm off. Adios amigos." I smiled in Will's direction, then walked out the door. Cassidy's car was parked out front, and I could see the two girls talking in the front seat.
"Leggo," I said once I was in the car.
--
"So," Cass said as we were looking through dresses. I looked over in her direction, and saw she was smirking at me.
"What?" I asked, looking over a red dress with silver sparkle.
"You've been here for three weeks, so tell us. Got an eye on a boy." She nudged me with her elbow. I laughed.
"Yeah, I think Cole and Dalton are pretty hot."
Madi laughed from in front of us. "Sorry hun, they're taken."
"But seriously, I think Will is cute.."
Madi cooed,"Aw, I could so see that!"
I sighed, looking down at the floor. "I don't even know if he likes me back, though." Cassidy rested her hand on my shoulder.
"From what I've seen of Will, he's normally shy around new people. But whenever he talks to you, he's as outgoing as the other boys. I'm pretty sure he doesn't do that with everyone, so you must be pretty special." I felt myself blush, so I quickly turned and grabbed a long sleeve, baby blue dress.
I changed the subject quickly,"What do you think?" They looked over the dress, then nodded in approval. I told them I would go change, then walked back to the dressing room.
When I walked out of the stall, I stood in the center of three mirrors at the end of the hall, to look at myself. I held my phone up and took a picture, then sent it to Lisa. "Wow!" I turned and saw Cassidy and Madison staring at me in shock.
I saw someone's shadow on the wall, and Cass turned to glare at them. "You can't come back here, this is the girls' dressing room."
"I don't see a sign that says that," the person replied. I recognized that voice as Cole. What is he doing here?
"Why can't you guys go off to some guy store?" Madi whined. I giggled.
"Who all is out there?"
"All of them. They said they were bored," Cass explained rolling her eyes. I shrugged and looked back in the mirror. I twisted, then spun on one foot in a circle. My dress flipped up, revealing the bottom of the dress. I didn't even care that Cole, Dalton, and Will were standing in the doorway, watching me. I was used to having a bunch of people see that happen, so I was perfectly fine.
"We're just going to wait out here," Madi said, pushing Dalton out. I watched as Cass whispered something to Cole that sounded a lot like 'I have to talk to you,' then she dragged him out, too. That left Will and I.
"You look beautiful," he said, walking up to me. I smiled and turned to look at him.
"Thanks. And thanks for following us up here." I knew it must've been one of the other guys' ideas, but I didn't care.
"We really were bored, and Dalton saw you girls in here so we just popped in to say hello. ... Hello." I giggled.
"Hello. Will you wait for me while I change?" He nodded and stepped aside so I could change. Once I was back in my regular clothes, I stepped out of the stall to meet Will, then we walked out together.
When we walked back into the store to join the others, I saw the six of them talking. They looked like they were planning something, and I have a feeling it has to do with Will and me. I shot Will a look, which he nodded at.
I walked over to the register to pay, and seconds later the girls joined me and acted as if nothing ever happened. When I turned around, the boys were walking out of the store. Will was trailing behind them, looking at me through the window.
When he caught my eye, he grinned at me, then disappeared behind the wall.
