"It's good," I confirmed, hoping to break her stare. Ever since we got the drinks, she watched me intensely, waiting for my reaction. I don't really see the big deal, it's just coffee. But anything I can do to keep her from staring, I'll do it.

"I knew it! So, what do you wanna do now?" We were sitting on a couch in Starbucks, enjoying the quietness. In a big city like this, it's nice to be able to go to a place and be welcomed with coffee and silence from the noise.

I looked down at my arms, which were as white as snow, and sighed. "I need a tan," I whined. Jamie chuckled and stood up, dragging me with her. She didn't say where we were going until we were safely inside the car and driving down the road.

"You need swimwear, when you're living with Cole and being with the other boys a lot, you have to count on swimming at your house, or going to the beach. Oh, and by the way you will love seeing those boys shirtless."

I laughed. "Thanks for the heads up..... So where to first?"

"Pac Sun. They have the cutest clothes and bikinis there!" I only nodded, and leaned back in my seat. Honestly, I was nervous about buying a bikini. Actually, I was nervous about swimming. I don't know how to, all the water in Alaska was always to cold to swim in, so it was never an issue.

Maybe I should've just begged my mom to let me stay with a friend while she's gone.

---

"That looks ah-mazing on you!" she gushed when I stepped out of the dressing room. I stood in front of a large mirror at the end of the hall, and looked myself over. Jamie had picked out a hot pink, strapless bikini top, with black bottoms to go with it.

"I think I'm to white for this," I admitted, feeling embarrassed. She waved her hand and shook her head.

"You'll get darker within a day, trust me! Okay, now what's next on the list? Oh yeah..." I had no idea she had a list of things to buy today. She began listing things that I'm going to need to look more like an LA girl.

"You are going to look so hot by the time I'm done with you," she finished, smiling. "Now, take that off and change into regular clothes, then meet me at check out." Without waiting for a reply, she turned and left the dressing rooms. I turned and walked back in my stall.

After changing, I met Jamie by the register and let her pay for my things. I didn't have any money of my own, and she seems to have everything covered. When we walked away from Pac Sun, we had bought four bikinis, and a few outfits. "Next stop," she said, raising her hand like Peter did to lead the army in Narnia, "Rue 21!"

We laughed, then headed towards the next store. We spent about thirty minutes in there, then switched off to a different store. In the end, I walked through the front door holding six bags on each arm around nine o'clock. Man, that girl can shop.

I walked upstairs, slightly shocked by the dead silent house. I don't think anyone is home, otherwise I would have heard someone or movement somewhere. When I walked in my room, I stopped my bags down on my bed and began to put them away.

About twenty minutes, I had changed into a pair of grey sweatpants and a green tank top, one of the many things I bought with Jamie. We had the bags filled to the top, and the handles left marks on my wrists.

My phone vibrated, shaking the whole couch. I answered it, not even bothering to check the ID. "Hello?"

"I was told to call you, what are you doing?" Cole asked, sounding out of breath.

"Um... Sitting on the couch watching Pretty Little Liars. Where are you?"

"I'm at the Citywalk, if you know where that is. The boys and I just got done performing." My mouth formed in an 'O' shape, even though he couldn't see me. "Anyways, I might be back a little late, and my mom is gonna be at work until tomorrow. Can you go stay at a friend's or something?" He paused, then added, "And don't call Will over!"

I laughed. "Aw, but that was a fun party..."

"I'm serious."

"Okay, okay. Yeah, I'll stay with someone. Are you trying to run me out of the house?"

He laughed. "How'd you guess?" I opened my mouth to say something, but shut it again. "Okay, I gotta go. Later, Jaz."

"B-" I couldn't even say 'bye' before I was rudely cut off. Maybe that was an accident, or he's just in a hurry or something. Oh well. I looked down at my phone and called Jamie. She picked up on the third ring.

"Hi!" she said happily.

"Hey... Do you mind if I stay the night? Cole is going to be home late, and Lisa is at work until tomorrow..."

"Yeah sure.  I'll come pick you up in, say, ten minutes?"

"Okay! Thank you."

"You're welcome. Bye."

"Bye." I hung up, the hopped off the couch and headed upstairs to pack. I grabbed my old duffel bag and packed it with an outfit I had bought earlier, along with black Converse, and my phone charger, just in case.

Another thing I had gotten today was make up. There wasn't a lot, just eye shadow, eye liner, and mascara. The cosmetics and my toothbrush packed, I zipped up the bag and carried it back downstairs.

I slipped my feet into my flip flops, then headed downstairs to wait for Jamie. When I was downstairs, I leaned over the back of the couch and turned the TV off. Right at that moment, the doorbell rang. When I opened it, Jamie was waiting for me.

"C'mon," she said, turning and walking towards her car. Shutting the door behind me, I followed her.

--

"So, when's that competition of yours?" she asked as we chilled on her bed. I was laying on my back at the foot of the bed, with my head hanging over the side, upside down. She was at the top of her bed, sitting right side up, and we were both watching Pretty Little Liars. It was just a rerun, but I have an addiction to this show.

"A week," I answered. "I've decided to go to the rink every day this week."

"Are you sure they'll let you? I mean, if the competition is in a week, won't they have to set up?"

"Well, yes, but if this is anything like the other competitions I've been to, the people working there will allow people who are competing to practice."

"Oh... We have no school tomorrow. What do you wanna do?" Tomorrow was Saturday, my favorite day of the week. That's my 'Do nothing all day' day. But, Jamie being Jamie, she may have other plans.

I shrugged. "I dunno..... It's up to you. You're the one with the car, and the sense of direction around this city." She laughed.

"How about we work on our tans?"

"Sounds good to me." I could feel myself sliding off the bed, so I put my hands flat beside my head, and flipped off onto my back.

"Are you okay?" she asked, laughing. I sat up and felt the blood leaving my head.

I grinned at her. "Just dandy."

So, this is kinda a filler. Nothing big happens. The boys will be in the next one :)

P.S. Go read F0reverY0ung18's story 'I Double Dog Dare You...' !!! It's a good book, at least I think it is. It's about the boys and five girls who make up a web show called Girl Perfection, who decide to play a game (Double Dog) that is apparently cursed and has some dark secrets behind it.

Sounds good, right? No? Well, I think so. :D
