"Home sweet home!" I said excitedly, dropping my bags onto the floor and inhaling the familiar smell of pine cones and Yankee Candles. I heard music softly playing in the kitchen, and the scent of the house changed.
"Cookies!" Will said, just as excited. I giggled at him and grabbed his hand, pulling him into the kitchen. My mom was juts pulling the fresh batch of cookies out of the oven when we walked in. After she laid them down on top of the stove, she pulled her mittens off and turned to us.
"Jazzy!" she said with a smile, holding her arms out wide. I smiled back and walked into her open arms. She hugged me tightly.
"Mom! I've missed you," I said, pulling away from the hug. I walked back over to Will, only to be pulled into a side hug. I smiled up at him, and he grinned down at me.
"Oh, you two are just so cute!" my mom gushed. "Hi, Will." He looked over at her.
"Hi, Mrs. Black."
She laughed and shook her head. "Call me Beth, sweetie. I was making cookies for your arrival! I was expecting Hilary to come in with you, though."
"She's coming," I explained. "She just wanted to get unpacked and dressed in warmer clothes before she came."
My mom nodded her head. "I see. Well, I'm going to be upstairs. Jasmine, dear, don't forget to say hello to George. He's missed you a lot." As she walked out, she gestured where the cookies were, then went upstairs.
Will grabbed the plate of cookies, and held it out to me. picking up a cookie. I picked one up, and he followed my actions. We both bit into the cookie in unison. I moaned as the warm chocolate chips and soft cookie melted together in my mouth, before I swallowed.
"Home made chocolate chip cookies," I said dramatically, "are the best cookies in the world." He chuckled and ate another cookie.
"I wanf da wholef plafe," he said with his mouth full. I laughed.
"You can have it. Hilary and I can share the other one." I picked up a napkin and leaned towards him. Gently, I wiped away the small piece of chocolate chip that was stuck on the corner of his mouth.
When I laid the napkin down on the table, I looked back at him only to have his lips crash against mine. I heard him lay down the plate, then he wrapped his arms around my waist. I clasped my hands behind his neck as he deepened the kiss.
I felt him lick my lower lip, and I smiled. Just as I opened my mouth, my mom yelled from upstairs, "Kissing is not for the kitchen!" We jumped away from each other. I glared towards the stairs, knowing my mom was probably watching us.
After a few seconds of us just staring at each other, Will broke out into a grin and said, "You taste like chocolate." I couldn't help myself as I laughed loudly.
"I wonder why?" I asked sarcastically. Then, I zipped up my jacket until the zipper could reach my neck, and pulled my beanie down in the back. "C'mon, I wanna see my dog."

"So, are you ready for the competition in three weeks?!" Hilary asked with a wide grin as I looked for a movie to watch on Netflix. "You know, I heard it's going to be broadcasted worldwide this year. And because it's so big this year, it's been moved. Now, it's being held in Juneau!"
Going to the capital of Alaska was something we've never been able to do. I was shocked that our usual, small town competition was going to be held in the captial and broadcasted worldwide. I wonder why, though.
"That sounds awesome. Wait, where's Juneau?" Will asked, sounding confused. Hil and I laughed.
"Juneau is the capital of Alaska. I can't tell you where it's at exactly, but I can tell you we'll have to take a plane," I explained with a shrug. I saw the words 'The Human Centipede' and smirked at the other two.
Hil's eyes widened. "No, no, no. I am not watching that!" She hid behind a pillow and whispered, "The horror."
"You haven't even seen it," I reminded her.
"Yes I have. I watched it one night when I was really bored and I didn't have anyone to talk to because my best friend was in California."
I shrugged. "Well at least you know the true horrors of it. Have you seen it, Will?" Hil and I both looked over at him. He shook his head.
"No, but I have read other things involving a human centipede...." He shuddered. "Lets not watch that movie." I nodded.
"Okay... Then what do we watch?"
"Case 39!" Hil suggested.
"What's that?" I asked, going to the search bar.
"It's a scary movie. You'll love it, Jaz." I clicked on the movie and pressed play. When I realized it was a scary movie, I snuggled closer to Will. He wrapped his arm around me and pulled me closer. "Aw, I don't have anyone to protect me," Hil pouted.
Will and I laughed when George, my St. Bernard, jumped up onto the chair and sat next to her. Hil stared at him for a second, then shrugged and hugged the dog.
Let the fun begin.
----
Someone screamed, and I hid my face in Will's chest. Sometime around the middle of the movie, I found myself on Will's lap, and Hilary was clutching poor George for dear life. Will would always remind me it's just a movie when something scary happened, then tell me when I can look again.
After the movie, George somehow realized his job was done, because he jumped off the couch and headed for the kitchen. Hilary grabbed a pillow and held it tightly to her chest. "I loved that movie," I said with a grin. Sure, I got scared. But I love scary movies.
"It was pretty good," Will admitted, nodding his head. I looked at the clock, and saw it was around eleven o'clock. I yawned.
"Can I stay the night here?" Hil asked, standing up to stretch. I only nodded, too tired to say anything. Will turned the TV off, then stood up with me in his arms.
He carried me upstairs with Hilary behind him. When he walked into my room, he laid me down on the bed and kissed my forehead. "See you in the morning, sweetheart," he whispered. I smiled at him.
"Goodnight," I told him. He smiled back at me.
"Goodnight."
