Finally I'm going home. I'm so excited but also so nervous about seeing everyone. By everyone I mean Chris. I missed him so much, yeah we called and kept in contact but nothing was better than being around him.
Now I'm on this 4 hour plane ride just thinking about how I should approach everyone. I really needed to chill it was indeed my family I was talking about. I was drawing this picture of the clouds in the sky as I looked out the window. The white clouds and the blue sky was pretty. I was going to miss only two things about California the weather and school. I went to school for art as for I was an amazing artist.
Chris taught me a lot about it actually. He was a pretty good artist himself. He was good at everything, sports, dancing, and he was a bomb ass singer. That's what he went to school for, music. He loved music and dance more than anything.
Anyway, we used to get in so much trouble because every wall in Tappahannock was filled with our artwork. We spray painted everything. But luckily my uncle was the sheriff and got us out every time we were caught. Good times.
Everything I thought about drifted off to Chris. I was really worried if he changed or something. I don't know why he would. He was always the same.

I stood at the entrance of the airport looking for my mother. Everywhere I looked I could see people in suits getting ready to go home to their families for the holiday.
Beep! Beep! I looked around for the familiar car horn and saw my mom pull up.
"Mom! Oh my god I'm so happy to see you!" I yell as she jumps out of the car to hug me. She squeezed me so hard I thought I couldn't breathe for a minute.
"Baby you look so different! I missed you sweetheart." Mom says. She grabs my suitcase and puts it in the trunk. We make our way into the car and she pulls off.
"What do you mean I look different?" I say confused. I mean I feel the same.
"Well your hair is longer. You look more tanned and I don't know just not the same as before." She couldn't stop looking at me.
"I didn't cut my hair like I usually would and I did stay in California where there are beaches mom. Of course I'm gonna get tan." I chuckled and flipped my light brown curly hair off my shoulders.
"You look great Hazel. I'm so glad your here. Everyone is at home waiting for you."
"Wow am I really that special?" I laughed.
"No your not special." She joked.
I playfully slapped her arm. "That was disrespectful mom."
"Yeah I know, but you know I love you." She said as she laughed.
"I love you too, and I would love you more if you told me Travis didn't destroy my room when I was gone." Travis was my younger brother. He was 16, four years younger than me and annoying as hell. He was so immature I hope he grew out of it, that little punk.
"He didn't it's exactly the same and be nice to him okay he's actually missed you." She said poking my cheek.
"Yeah yeah. Who's at the house?" I asked curious to know.
"Well your father, Travis and some others." She said.
"Who's the other people?" I asked more curious than before. She shakes her head.
"Not telling you."

We pull up to the house and I see Christmas decorations everywhere. All over my block. This place was filled with lights and fake Santa's sitting in the snow. I loved Christmas it was my favorite time of the year to be honest. I looked at my house like it was a new car.
I opened the door to my house with my mom behind me. It was dark at first but then the lights cut on.
"WELCOME HOME HAZEL!" A group of voices exclaimed.
I stood there smiling as everyone ran to hug me. I saw Travis, Dad, my Uncle Freddy, one of my close friends Chloe, and Chris.
"Hey everyone I missed you all." I said. I was trying to get out of this group hug but I was struggling. When I did I saw Chris in the corner just watching me. As I approached him we just smiled at each other and did our Chrazel handshake.
"Haze! My favorite girl in the world. How's it been without me? Hard. Yeah I know." He said. I punched him in his arm and jumped on him. We hugged for what seemed like forever. I didn't want to stop but there was a room full of people watching, so I got off him and turned to everyone else. They were looking at me and Chris like we were crazy.
"Sorry about that I missed my bestfriend." I said. Chloe gave me this nasty look.
" Okay I see how it is. You ain't miss me!?" She said rolling her eyes. I pulled her in for a hug and kissed her cheek until she smiled again.
"Of course I did boo." I said. I did miss her of course. Chris rolled his eyes and grabbed my bags taking them to my room. What a gentleman.
"Haze I'm gonna have to get going it's getting late and you took forever getting here so I'll see you tomorrow boo." She said hugging me one last time before walking out the door.
"Bye loser." I was upset she had to go but her mom was crazy so I let her do what she had to.
It was after 9pm and I was hungry. No I was dying. I went into the kitchen and saw my mom making a plate for me. She just knows.
"You done read my mind momma." I laughed at my southern accent.
"Here eat and get some rest baby I'll take you out tomorrow I'm a little tired." She said.
"Okay mom thank you." And with that she was gone. I ate all my food and made my way to my room. I was stopped by Travis. He stared at me, gave me a hug and then vanished. That was weird. I continued on to my room to see Chris laying across my bed.
"You went MIA on me man, what happened." I said changing into my sweats and laying next to him. I changed in front of him so many times before it didn't faze me anymore. By how comfortable and lazy he looked I could tell he was staying over. It was fine though my family was so used to having him around him sleeping in my room was nothing. They trusted him.
"Sorry I didn't want to be caught up with everyone else. So I came up here and waited for you. I wanted you alone." He said and turned his head to me. I put my head on his chest and listened to his heartbeat. This was something natural for the both of us. We always did this.
"I gotchu fam. I really missed you though. How was Atlanta?" I asked him and started to play with his curly blonde hair. He dyed it a couple of months ago and it fits him so well.
"It's cool I met Usher once and he said my voice was dope. He was digging the kid." He said playing with my long brown locks.
"Schools okay though, and I love Atlanta. I'm good though, but how about you Miss California?"
I laughed at him and played with his stubble on his chin. "I'm okay I'm learning a lot at this school actually. You'd like it there, really."
"Any guys you liked?" He said poking at my stomach.
"What? No, their all into one night stands and surfing. There was this cute guy but it didn't work out." I looked up at him.
"Oh good because you're mine sweetheart." He said kissing my forehead. He wrapped his arms around me and started to drift off.
I replayed those words in my head.
"Oh good because you're mine...you're mine..."What does that even mean?
It's gonna be slow at first but more interesting stuff soon
