Janae's POV
I thought about what my mom said for awhile. She was right, the only way to deal with a player is to beat him at his own game. That's exactly what I'm gonna do.
I'm tired of these niggas out here thinking they can just treat me any type of way. I'm not down with getting played. I refuse to let it happen again.
The Next Day
"Marieeeee" I said as I hugged my friend tightly. I don't get to see her much because her mom keeps her trapped in that house. I'd go crazy if my mom did that.
"Janaeeeee, I missed you so much girl. You don't understand." She replied.
"I missed you too. So what store you wanna go to first?" I asked.
"Can we go to Charolette Russe first? I need to get a dress and some shoes." She said.
"For what?" I looked at her suspiciously.
"Well a certain someone asked me out on a date." She said looking down while blushing.
"Tyrese asked you out?! Okay bitch I see you. He's fine as hell!" I said.
"Yeah he did. I just don't know how I'm gonna tell my mom. You know how she is." She said as she rolled her eyes.
"I mean he's not a bad guy, I think she'll like him. Give it try and see if she'll let you go. It doesn't hurt to try." I said.
"I guess so. I really like him a lot. I wish you would take your own advice though." She said as she turned to look at me with a smirk.
"Girl what are you talking about?" I asked genuinely confused.
"Hoe don't play dumb. I'm talking about Chris. I know you've been interested in him for awhile, take your advice and try to talk to him." She said.
As soon as she said his name I looked down blushing.
"I don't know, I'll try one day. Anyways, let me get you hip on what happened between us yesterday though." I said as we walked into Charolette Russe.
"Spill the tea."
"So yesterday, his mom asked me to water the plants for her because she was in a rush and Chris wasn't home yet. So, I was trying to turn on the water but it wasn't working. Out of nowhere it came gushing out and soaked my all white shirt. My shirt was see through and you could see my bra. As I got up off the ground I saw him looking at me and laughing. Like nigga it wasn't funny. Of course I didn't say that to him though."I explained.
"I would die if he saw my bra, oh my gosh." She said
"Girl I damn near did. After he laughed I asked him if I could borrow a towel. This nigga had the nerve to say no and insisted that I should strip for him instead. Then, he made a little bet saying that one day he would get me to do it." I continued.
"Oh my gosh" she said.
"I know but I kept denying him. After that he backed me up into a tree and started whispering in my ear. Lord please forgive me for the thoughts that went through my mind. He is too damn fine. He had me weak in the knees until my mom came outside yelling, she killed the mood." I said pouting.
"Damn girl you're lucky. But watch out, you know how he is. He's all about using the girls, not actually loving them. I don't understand that mentality. Why get with someone if you're not going to love them? You know what I mean?" She asked.
