"Sieara! The Dance is this Friday. This Friday! Four days away." Lucy squealed, jumping onto my back, startling me from behind.

"Sorry to burst your bubble but there's actually five days left since this day has just started." I explained, taking the books I needed out of my locker.

"You are such a party pooper and I would say it's four days, not five." Lucy argued, tightening her grip around my neck as I began walking with her still on my back.

"But it's only 8:30 and there is more than half the day to go." I argued back, fixing my hands under Lucy's thighs to carry her more comfortably.

"But there is less than 24 hours left of today so I guess you could actually say there are four and a half days left." Lucy stated, as I rolled my eyes.

"Yeah, yeah. Whatever." I mumbled, grinning at her childishness.

Mark, Kyle and Dylan came into view causing me to stop in my tracks. There was no way I was planning on talking to that nuthead today. Uh uh. No way.

"Mark!!" Lucy squealed, slapping her legs against my arms.

"Lucy stop kicking me. And quiet d-"

"Giddy up horsie. To Mark and the other boys over there!" Lucy demanded, pointing towards the three boys that had just noticed us.

I sighed, knowing there was no way out of talking to the nuthead today. I began slowly trudging to the three boys who were grinning like Chesire cats.

"Hey babe!" Mark smirked, engulfing Lucy in a hug as she frantically hopped of my back.

I bent my back forward and backwards from the previous heavyweight.

"Hey Sieara." Both Kyle and Dylan greeted in unison, revealing slightly irritated expressions to each other straight after.

"Hey Dylan." I smiled, before nodding my head to Kyle as a 'hello.'

A hurt look crossed Kyle's face at my gesture but it quickly dissapeared as quick as it came.

"So, are you excited about the Winter Dance?" Dylan asked, revealing a wide grin causing my mood to dampen slightly.

He just had to ask right in front of the nuthead.

"Umm..yeah, I'm really excited." I replied, revealing a tight, half hearted smile.

"Do you know what colour your dress is, so that we can match or...?" Dylan asked, slightly embarrassed.

"Umm..yeah. It's blue and white so just buy any blue tie." I tightly smiled again, glancing at Kyle to see he was scowling at the two of us.

"So Kyle, who are you taking?" Dylan asked, finally removing the spotlight from me and him.

"I'm not going. I never go to the Winter Dance and you know that." Kyle growled, sending an irritated look to Dylan.

But Lucy said that he would be there? Well she sort of said he would be there, why else would she tell me to buy a pretty dress for him?

-Flashback-

"Ok, now we've found the perfect shop! So, since you're not that happy about your date, let's make the guy you actually like- which is cough, cough, Kyle- jealous of your beauty." Lucy giggled, as I nudged her shoulder irritably, unable to stop the smile spreading across my face at the jerk's name.

I know I should hate him for not standing up for me, avoiding me, kissing Chantelle and much much more but what can I say?... I still really like Kyle.
