Darkness falls across the land,
Poisoning all the light that people love,
Screams of pain and anger are the resounding sounds,
All you can hear in the pitch black day,
A dove flies high above,
Giving hope to the people below
Their light has survived the dark,
Maybe ours can survive too,
The people join forces,
To complete a common goal,
To fight the darkness till it goes,
They stand in peace not noticing or caring about differences,
There is no racist remarks,
No bullying for being different,
No gay, straight or bi,
They are all the same,
Human,
Standing in lines,
Old, Young, Men and Women,
All mixed together,
Not a care,
The darkness crawls closer and closer,
Sucking the energy from the newly grown flowers,
and taking the light from the people's hearts,
But not enough as it just grows back,
The people are in peace within themselves,
And their new friends are all supporting eachother,
Smiling and laughing at the jokes being told,
Making the light within get stronger and brighter,
The darkness stalls and starts to retreat,
The light resonating from the people,
Is far too strong for it to concour,
The darkness starts to shiver and shake,
In fear of getting beaten by the light,
The light goes towards the darkness,
While the darkness walks away from it,
The light gives the darkness a nice comforting hug,
A thing that everyone needs at least once,
The darkness falls apart in lights arms,
Crying and sobbing,
All their emotions out,
All their fears,
The darkness just needed a friend,
Someone that wasn't scared of them,
Not someone forced to like them,
But out of their own free will,
All the darkness needed was someone who cared,
A friend who listened to them,
A hug and a smile,
Just like someone you may know,
Just let them know that you are there,
And support them and the darkness within them,
Will start to fade and be replaced by the light.
