"Dan," Nick said softly, grabbing his boyfriend's chin to tilt his head up. Dan looked at him with a smile. "Let's go. We'll walk to therapy together."
Dan didn't really need the therapy anymore, but it was the best time to see his friends and perhaps learn a bit more about them.
As soon as they stepped inside the building, they were greeted by Chris.
Dan felt like something was wrong, but he couldn't pinpoint it.
He saw Brendon and that new boy, Ryan, walk in holding hands. He thought it was a sweet gesture. Though, Nick had grabbed his hand tightly before they went inside.
Dan knew Nick was just being protective, and maybe a bit possessive, but Dan knew Nick meant well.
As they took their seats, Dan noticed what was wrong.
Where was Phil?
Dan looked around for his friend, and luckily, he saw him stumbling as he walked in. Dan's eyes widened, for this was the first time in a bit he took in Phil's appearance.
Phil looked like a bit of a wreck.
His skin was awfully pale, paler than usual, he had dark rings under his eyes, his once bright blue eyes were dim and he was skinnier than normal.
"Phil," Dan uttered, standing up despite Nick's protests. He walked over to Phil had hugged him, breathing in his scent.
He missed him. There was no doubt about that.
Phil had weakly wrapped his arms around Dan, laying his palms flat on Dan's back.
"Philly," Dan whispered into Phil's ear, sending chills down his spine. "Tell me, are you okay?"
Nick felt his blood boiling inside him because of how close they were. He was jealous.
There was no doubt about that.
Dan let go of Phil and examined his face. Phil looked exhausted.
"Philly, baby, what's wrong?" Dan pressed, mentally slapping himself for calling Phil 'baby'. "Philly, tell me what's wrong."
Phil shook his head. "I- I'm fine, Dan, I'm okay," Phil whispered, blushing a bit. Dan didn't believe him, but didn't press the matter.
Nick was really jealous. He was going to have to talk to Dan later about all of this.

The therapy went by quickly for Dan, perhaps it was because he didn't want it to, because the longer therapy was, the longer he could be near Phil.
He missed Phil. He didn't want them to stay drifted apart. He wanted to be close with him again, but he didn't want Nick to get mad or suspicious.
Everyone was leaving, and Phil was one of them. As Dan went to reach for his wrist to see if he wanted to hang out, he was unsuccessful, as Nick grabbed his wrist and pulled him back.
"Come on, baby," Nick sighed, walking with Dan. Dan huffed and obeyed him, staying behind with him. This pleased Nick very much.
Dan watched as Phil seemed to be walking home, as he and Nick and PJ were climbing into Dan's mum's car.
Dan tapped his mum on her shoulder. "Mum, will you pick up Phil?" He asked her quietly. She smiled and nodded and drove over to him.
"Get in honey," Mrs. Howell told Phil. Phil shook his head, mumbling a soft 'no, thank you' before continuing to walk off.
Mrs. Howell looked back at her son and Dan sighed. Mrs. Howell began to drive off, just as it started drizzling.
