Chapter 10 I: Keystone

The battle was over and we have went back to Nagare's base after the battle. The three kings were discussing about something while the damn brat wanted to fight with me that I ended got hit by Yukari. Troublesome bunch they are.

Actually, I had wanted fight against him since I didn't get to go on full power during the fight earlier. To be honest, it wasn't actually a fair fight when Eon's around. She had practically owned everyone in the battlefield and when she did, she had a crazed look overtaking her.

How is she that strong? Did the Gold King taught her how to fight when she was still under his guidance? Or maybe something else?

Soon, we walk back to the tower that Eon offered to let me stay. I took a long shower and sort the bedroom to my liking. I was actually grateful of having a room on my own. I've stayed in various hotels for the pass month, not claiming any of it for my own to stay, but I had the money anyway. I just wonder who used to occupy this room.

The reason I'm saying this is because the last time I saw CARNIVAL as a team in action. They were 10 leading clansmen including the second and third. This room is at the same floor as Eon's room occupies in so all of the leading clansmen's room must be are here.

I just can't help but feel that I'm missing something that I should know of. After all the hints that Eon hinted out, there must be something she wants me to do. I don't mind the fact that she wants to foil Nagare's plan. I'm only joining to have a change of view.

I walked out of my bedroom and went to Eon's room. She had told me she wanted to do something together. Whatever that means.

As I was to open the door to Eon's room, the sound of muffled noises made me stop in my tracks. I was curious to who was inside with her so I placed my ear to the door but I assume it should be Ion.

"Do you seriously think I would let you after I've gained back control of my mind?!" Eon shouted.

My eyes widened in surprise as she said that. She's back?! Did Nagare's manipulating aura wore off. Is there a time limit to what his power can do? That must be it. She wanted me to know, that's why she told me to come.

"Nagare, please do what you must," Ion said in a calm tone but tense tone.

Nagare's in there?!

"I'm trying. Just hold her still," Nagare said. "Honestly, I would have thought that after the battle, she will eventually tire herself out. It would be so much easier."

What're they doing with her in there?!

"Hey, get off of me," Eon shouted.

"But my King insist of you to stay still so be a good child now, okay," A voice replied.

Yukari?!

"No, get off of me!" Eon shouted again.

What should I do?! Do I go in and help her or do I let her be. There's quite a chance that Nagare would do something to my mind like how he did to Eon.

"Eon," an old man said. "Remember who you're loyal to."

"I've agreed to nothing!" was her snarky reply. "You're not Kureto, you cowa–"

"Enough!" Ion shouted. "Nagare, just do it."

I heard a bunch of struggling noises and protest by Eon but it soon died down. You could even hear them breathing. That there were no sounds of movement except for the bed moving.

I think I should go in now. They won't suspect me of knowing anything if I act natural. The door opened and I see all of them crowding the bed except for Sukuna who was sitting by the fireplace.
