Chapter 13 To Go Out With Someone From the Band

Elizabeth ran her hands through her hair one more time. It was 6:20 and she was freaking out again. Her sisters had told her not to freak out. "He didn't even say it was a date," Veronica had pointed out. She was right, Meliodas didn't say anything about a date, just going to the concert.

Still she readjusted her long red skirt and black strapped crop top multiple times. Her converse and black flats were right next to each other but decided on the converse last minute. Reapplying the lipstick and mascara she grabbed a red bracelet and started towards the front door.

She kept peeking out of the window and then pacing around the front hallway each time he wasn't there. Spotting her sister's bag she grabbed it and prayed Maragret wouldn't come down stairs before she left. Deciding that waiting beside the door for him was a little creepy she got on her phone and searched Instagram and tumblr.

Before she knew it someone honked outside of her house and she rushed to the door to check. It was him! She opened the door and yelled "Bye Dad!". Running excitedly to the car she stopped half way and started walking. She didn't want to seem too excited.

"Hey Elizabeth!" He waved from the driver's seat. She plopped down next to him. They both smiled and smiled, and well smiled, for about 5 minutes straight. Then Meliodas started the car back up and drove away. Looking over at Meliodas the question that had been bothering her for the last few days now popped back into her head.

"Hey Meliodas," she stared at her shoes while she waited for his response.

"Yes, Elizabeth?" His curiosity was peeked when she was acting so shy and nervous.

"I was wondering, well," she stopped short of her question so that she could gather all of her courage before asking.
"Why-did-you-invite-me-to-go?" He was silent before answering. This made her even more nervous than when they had all first met.

"Well, I invited you because. Well because we, because you." He was silent again but this time was focusing on the road. "I invited you because well, I thought we would have the most fun together," he seemed happy with his answer but Elizabeth didn't. But before she really had anytime to ask more questions they arrived at the outdoor theater.

Smiling wider than her place probably should've she got out of the car. Following her slowly he laughed at her excitement. She hurried over to his side and started pulling him towards the theater.

"Come on we're going to be late!" She whispered excitedly.

"We still have half an hour before the concert starts," he points out. She shakes her head and explains to him that while there may be an half hour before it starts they still need to get all essentials before hand. "What essentials?" He asks

"You know, water, food, glow sticks," she listed more but Meliodas stopped listening.

"Glow sticks? Why would you need glow sticks at a concert?" He asked as they finally started to the theater.

"Yeah, glow sticks. Cause about halfway through the performance your phone is probably going to run out of battery," she explained more as they walked closer and closer to the theater. Soon Meliodas slipped his hand into hers and she didn't even notice. They walked and walked until the performance started.

Everyone started out sitting, but by halfway through the sky was dark and everyone was jumping and dancing with the beat. Elizabeth was a natural at this. Meliodas needed a bit of help, so Elizabeth jumped and made him jump as well. Halfway through the band said they would be back in half an hour. Most of the people left the stadium while the rest stayed at their seats.

"Wanna go get refills on supplies?" She asked him shaking her ice filled drink to emphasize. He nodded and the both headed out of the stadium like theater into the food court area. They talked about what they liked so far about the performance and what they didn't.

"I'm really glad you asked me out to this Concert," she said as they waited patiently in line, her heart was soaring at his proximity.

"Asked you out?" He asked hopefully. Maybe she does get it. Maybe she does feel the same way.

"Oh yeah um I mean you asked me out here," she blushed and tried to abort mission. Abort mission!

"Yeah, but you realize why I've asked you out right?" He asked realizing she probably didn't know. But he also realized she did like him.

"As like friends right?" She asked now confused but her heart was soaring everywhere.

"No." He stated then shook his head, leaned her down to his height, and kissed her with all the feelings he had.

And she. Well she kissed him right back.
