"What does that even mean!" Veronica was screaming into a phone as the band arrived at the hospital. She was practically marching around the waiting room. Her hair was sweaty and matted against her head. A giant of a man was sitting down behind her attempting to calm her down but it didn't seem to be working.

"Miss Veronica you need to calm down," he said watching her like a hawk. She just shook her head and yelled into the phone some more. The man didn't move but just watched her longer.

"Maragret! You have to help me get in there! What do you mean I can't! I'm her sister too! Only blood relatives? Seriously!" With that she hung up the phone and started a string of curse words that even Meliodas didn't know. It looked as if the only reason she didn't start throwing chairs was because she noticed they were there. "This is all your fault!" She yelled at them.

"What's our fault?" Meliodas asked crossing his arms over his chest. Veronica laughed bitterly before almost spitting out her answer to them.

"Your little band is the whole reason Ellie is even in this mess!" She angrily whisper shouted. Diane's face grew hot with the anger that was boiling inside. King barely kept her back as Veronica kept on her rant. "And you've been putting all these stupid and foolish thoughts in her head! Now she thinks that she can make a real living off of singing! It's almost as if you've brainwashed her!"

"We've done nothing to hurt Elizabeth! It wasn't our fault!" Diane yelled back as King started to drag her back to the entrance. She went out kicking and screaming, both literally and figuratively.

"Veronica none of us-" Meliodas explained before getting cut off abruptly.

"Do. Not. Call. Me. That. You didn't even know me until a week ago!" She yelled again. Her friend or who ever he was had finally gotten up and put a hand on her shoulder. She shook it off but did look less angry afterwards.

"Okay fine, but none of us could've guessed that this was going to happen. None of us." Meliodas repeated trying to push his point through. She only glared at him before deciding to sit down. Ban exchanged a look with Meliodas. He nodded "no" and they went and sat across the room from Veronica and the giant man.

After half an hour of absence King and Diane returned with a girl in tow. She was furious and was mumbling angrily behind them. As a result Diane whispered something to the girl and she quickly shut up.

"This is the little-" Diane started but King interrupted by stepping in front of Diane. Noticing the children around the room he didn't want her to expose their little ears to her... Extended vocabulary.

"This is the person who poisoned the singers." Veronica had to be held back by the giant man. Meliodas had to be taken to a whole other room away from the girl Jericho. Ban was the one who finally got her to spill the beans half an hour later. He had taken her into a vacant room and well... The others guessed he interrogated her, no one asked and Jericho and Ban would never say exactly what happened.

"We heard about this Battle of the Bands competition that was happening the next state over and decided that we needed the prize. So we thought poisoning the singers at their individual rehearsals would scare them off," she admitted after the half hour. Once she was done spilling her guts the band had a small meeting on what to do with the information.

"So obviously we're going to tell the doctors what happened, but should we tell the police?" Ban asked as they left Jericho alone in the hospital room. Although the question was just floating there none of them wanted to answer it until they knew what Meliodas decided. He may be hotheaded at time but he was still their leader. No one could deny that.

"Diane," he said quietly. She stood up straight pushing off against the wall. He turned to her from his position on the wall. They still couldn't see his face however and it scared Diane. "Call the police and leave an anonymous tip that the singers have been poisoned. We don't want Ban getting in trouble for whatever he did in there to make her talk,"

Ban laughed and replied in a sing songy voice "I did nothing illegal, inappropriate yes, but nothing illegal," King glances over at Ban and shook his head disapprovingly. Ban just shrugged his shoulders and smiled evilly.

"I'll call them now," she stated taking her phone out of her back pocket and walked farther away. When he heard a distant. "Hello, I have a tip on the sick singers case," before King finally asked.

"So what's your real plan? Because I know you've been planning it since that girl came in here," crossing his arms he stood in front of Meliodas waiting for him to explain. He laughed darkly looking up at King,

"You don't want to know. But until I decide to put the plan into action I'm going to stay here and wait for Elizabeth to wake up," King nodded as a response. Diane ran squealing towards him. No one could make out what it was or if it was even good squealing. But she plowed into King knocked him on to the ground, kissing him.

"She's okay!" She squealed finally getting off of King. Meliodas looked at her hopefully, she was nodding and squealing. He took off in the direction of Elizabeth's room. They all watched him and walked slowly behind him.

Reaching her room before anyone else he stood outside of her room. Veronica's words echoed through his head, "This is all your fault!". He couldn't loose Elizabeth, not after loosing Liz. He wouldn't loose anyone ever again. Then he heard her weak voice and quickly threw open the door.

"Hello, Meliodas," she had a few I.V.s in her and looked paler. Her mouth formed into a frail grin. "It's nice to see you-" she was cut off by his arms around her shoulders. She petted his hair wrapping her longer arms around him.

"I thought you were going to die," he whispered in her ear. Laughing faintly she replied quietly "I wouldn't leave you, no when I love you,"

He smiled into her hair and they stayed like that until the rest of the band came in. They all coddled her and spoke softly but frequently interrupting each other. The doctors eventually came in and ushered them all out. Her adoptive family came in next and spent the next couple of hours with her.
