A week later was when they found their first clue. After googling all of the local bands and their singers they found that only one band still had a singer that was fine.

"Of course it's them!" Diane exclaimed getting up off of King's bed. She paced his small room until he woke with a start. Falling off of his desk chair he watched as Diane rampaged back and forth.

"Diane! Why didn't you wake me up when I fell asleep?" He scrambled back up onto his chair. Blushing hard he watched her move back and forth before she calmed down. "Diane, what's the matter?" She turned back to him and frowned deeply.

"I just found out who hasn't had a sick singer in our area!" She practically screamed. King's eyes widened and shot up heading towards his laptop. Diane kept walking back and forth her hands in white knuckled fists.

"No way," he whispered leaning his face closer to the laptop. He read the words slowly making sure that Diane hadn't overreacted, as she sometimes did. Unfortunately she wasn't overreacting, it looked like the only singer that hadn't gotten sick was apart of the band Next Generation.

"It's some guy named Jericho," she raged on, seeing as she was still in her pajamas King was just a little distracted. Even though King swears it was only for a second he could only hear. "Blah blub blubble,"

"KING! Are you even listening to me!" She stomped and he swore the whole room shook. He nodded standing up. "Grab your coat we are going to go and find this so called band and ruin them!" Her last words filled with so much venom King was in danger of passing out. Snatching up his coat they left the house as fast as they could.

She bolted out from the room and was boiling mad as she practically ran down the stairs. "Diane maybe we should just think this thro-" she had abruptly stopped in front of him. He began to ask why she had just stopped, although since he was so close to her he didn't mind. She ducked back behind a corner and held her hand over his mouth.

"Don't freak out but I want you to look around the corner and tell me what you see," she whispered. He stated at her confused before peeking quickly around the corner. He understood almost immediately what was happening.

In front of the two of them stood two people, one significantly shorter than the other. The shorter one seemed to be standing guard while the taller one broke into Diane's car. He glanced back at Diane to see what damage she might do to them, but when he looked back at her. She was scared.

"Diane, go get Ban," he whispered pushing her back to the stairs. Taking labored steps to the stairs her face was broken. She arrived at the stairs but still didn't move.

"My thesis, my- my everything is on my computer, everything is in my car," half way to tears she slowly ascended the stairs. After a few shaky steps it became visibly easier for her to walk. He made sure she got into his room at the top of the stairs before bounding outside. The car thieves were still there.

"Hey!" He shouted walking closer to them.the shorter one freaked out and abandoned his partner at the first look of King. "Get out of here before you have a chance to regret it!" He looked over at King and laughed gruffly.

"Bring it kid!" He turned completely around swinging a crowbar wildly. Does he think he looks threatening? King wondered tilting his head. Although King could usually convey many emotions, he found when he focused hard enough he could make them disappear.

"I'm not a kid," the first knife flew past the thief's ear barely scraping it. His hand flew up and a string of curse words slipped from his mouth. The second one whizzed passed his ear so close he could hear it. "Do I need to prove my point anymore?" King asked taking step by agonizing step closer to the man.

The man ran away. King almost laughed at him before plucking the knives out of the wall and hiding them back in one of his many coat pockets. Diane came crashing back outside Ban right at her heels with his nunchucks.

"What are you doing!" She scolded him as she say him near her car. "You could've gotten yourself killed! Where did they go anyway?" She asked walking closer to her car and checking around him, as if he were hiding the two thieves. He shrugged his shoulders but added "I got a good look at one of them. I could probably describe him to the cops."

This cheered Diane up a little but she was still angry as they both got into the car. Ban had grumbled back inside and probably back to sleep. "You scared the hell out of me." She whispered staring intently at her steering wheel. King was shocked, he scared her?

"What do you mean? I didn't put myself in any danger," she just looked at him. Diane took a mental picture of the innocent looking guy beside her. She never wanted to loose him. Never again.

"I've lost you once King. I can't afford to loose you again. Not when I care this much," she muttered barely audible above the car's engine.

"Diane?" He asked putting his hand on hers. He squeezed it and she squeezed back her head still down.

"I can't loose you. Not when I'm in this deep," she turned and looked at him. He felt his heart break and shatter even more as he saw her face. It was a sad smile, while her usual kind chocolate eyes where murky. "I'm sorry I've just been really emotional lately and seeing you -" she was cut off by his lips on hers. She could feel the heat from his face as he blushed at their proximity.

She pulled back first looked at him. Then laughed, first starting out as a giggle, then a chuckle. But soon she was laughing so hard she could feel her sides hurting. King looked hurt as he leaned farther and farther back into the passenger seat, praying that it would just eat him right there on the spot.

"I'm sorry, let me explain, let me explain," she stopped laughing a small bit at a time. He sat there embarrassed waiting as his girlfriend stopped laughing at him. Once she did calm down she turned to him and smiled her usual Diane smile that always made him melt. "Your so awkward sometimes it's adorable, and that was probably the most adorable thing you've ever done to make me feel better," he smiled and they kissed again, and again, and again. Until Meliodas finally knocked on Diane's window and told her something was wrong with Elizabeth.
