Alexa woke up only three hours after falling asleep. It was 9AM and as far as she knew she was to spend the day waiting on Lyndsey to come back.

She lay in her bed for another hour just thinking about Lynn and the memories they had together. After a long and hard think about Lyndsey and the memories they shared Alexa decided to use the inspiration she was feeling for a good reason.

Alexa sits at her bedroom dresser with a note pad, a purple pen, Lyndsey's book of lyrics and her guitar under her arm. The words she's thinking flow from the tip of the pen onto the paper as if the pen is her mind, thinking the words visually. She looks back and forth between the book she'd taken from Lynn's apartment, opened up on a page with the title "Eyelids" and the lyrics she'd managed to write down herself.

Halfway through the rewriting of the messed up lyrics scribbled across the page, Alexa hears the door bell ring. "I'm coming." she calls out before jumping up and running to the door carrying her guitar with her.

"Lex... You seem happy today?" Sam looks worriedly at the suddenly perky Alexa. Just days ago she was struggling with a drug habit and she wouldn't even open the door for Sam. Sam had to climb through a window Alexa had left opened and she'd found the distressed girl huddled in the corner of her kitchen crying with a razor blade in her hand.

"I am happy... I... Well I don't think I can talk about it but things have happened and I feel much better." Alexa tells her younger sister. "But... Lex you can trust me? You met a girl didn't you?" Sam asks with an amused little grin. "No? Why would you think that?" Alexa frowns.

"Hickey's and a suddenly perky attitude?" Sam muses before walking past Alexa into the kitchen and helping herself to the fridge. Alexa follows her and sits down at the table as Sam takes out a bottle of water. "You wanna tell me what her name is?" Sam grins.

"Lyndsey..." is all Alexa can manage to mutter before Sam cuts her off. "Alexa... Getting a girlfriend with the same name as... Her, isn't going to make it any easier for you." Sam lectures. "No... Sam it's... Her, it's Lyndsey."

Sam's amused expression turns to a look of concern as Alexa rambles on about Lyndsey's spirit and how they slept together the night before. "Alexa you need to see a therapist. This has had a bigger impact on your mental state than we thought." Sam's voice is soft and comforting as she talks to her older sister.

"No Sam... You- you don't understand, she's really here, stay tonight and I'll prove it to you." Alexa tries to convince Sam. "Lexy I can't, she's gone... You're... You need help."

The last thing Alexa remembers is hearing Sam tell her that Lyndsey is gone. For some reason everything after that was non existent in her mind when she awoke in a bed with a cold, wet towel on her forehead. "Sam?" she asks quietly, almost not audible.

"Hey how are you feeling Alexa?"

Wait, that's not Sam.
Where's Sam and who the hell just spoke to me?
Where am I?

Alexa's thoughts race through her head as she tries to sit up. "Who... Where am I? What's going on?" she cries as anxiety fills every space of her body. "I'm Doctor. Hollis, Alexa your family has admitted you to St. Joseph's mental ward for observation... I understand that you've just gone through a traumatic experience and as a result have been using drugs excessively, correct?"
