Chapter 11

"That poor women" Josh said looking upset while helping me up.

"I know. She lost everything, everyone" Josh kissed my forehead.

"At least she was able to die with her grandson. But I do need to thank her for giving you back to me" I smiled at that comment.

"Let's finish this. Then we can go back home." he nodded, taking my hand in his and we went to finish the mission.

"Y/n! Josh! Thank god you guys are alright" Mike and the gang had been waiting for us in the entrance.

"Yeah. Though we weren't have to worry about our Wendigo problem again. Josh killed them all"

"Seriously?" they all looked at Josh is shock and I just nodded my head

"Way to go man!" Mike says patting him on the shoulder. They told me that they had called for a chopper like last time because Alice had taken Stevens cell before they got captured. I was relieved and then it was my turn to tell them everything that happened. They didn't seemed fully convinced but they gave me the benefit of the doubt for now because of what they've been through then something caught my eye, the sky. It was getting brighter out, no, no, I need more time!

"Josh we have to go!" Josh looks where I was looking and he goes pale.

"Come on lets go" I tugged on Josh's arm and we took off the gang slowly catching up with us. We kept running knowing that we were cutting it really close. Please! Just let us finished this. My heart was pounding in my chest more than normal, it felt like it was going to burst if I didn't slow down, but I refused to.

We arrived and I threw the gem in the ground. To get rid of something I knew that we needed to lock in everything, also meaning Josh. I shoved Josh into the mines entrance and an invisible wall went over the whole mine. I turned towards the gem and saw the old women standing just like she was in the memory she showed me.

She started chanting and I could hear the chanting coming from everyone echoing throughout the whole mountain. Everyone caught up and saw the old women. I knew that they finally believed me; a scream broke my observation. I turned and saw Josh clutching his stomach, he was spitting out blood and rocking back and forth from pain. I walked up the invisible wall and put my hand on it.

"Josh just listen to my voice. I swear after this you'll be okay" he just kept rocking back and forth.

"Hey Josh do you remember that time when you almost punched a guy out because he whistled at me" he didn't reply

"I do. It was kind of funny because after he saw that I was with you he turned right around and never looked our way again. I think it was because you gave your famous death glare that could kill everyone and their mother" he smiled but kept rocking

"Or how about that time we embarrassed Chris in front of Ashley. He was so angry because we put a fake worm in his drink and he freaked out spilling his drink on Ash. Man was he angry at us for hours" Josh chuckled and looked into my eyes. I could see that he was trying to not show me how much pain he was in but I knew, I knew him better than the back of my hand.

"Y/n, I love-" the chanting kept slowed down and Josh screamed in agonizing pain. He kept saying it hurt and he wanted it to stop. The old women looked at me with sympathy and I knew that something wasn't right.

"Y/n I don't think I cant keep Josh alive. I don't have enough strength" the old women as the ground started to shake.

"No! NO! You swore that Josh would be okay! Please! I can't lose him" I looked at Josh and saw that he was grunting from the pain and started to roll around.

"Please" I whispered to her.

"I'm sorry" was the last thing she said before a small blast shot throughout the mountain and stopped the ground from shaking. I couldn't hear Josh scream anymore, I turned around and saw Josh just lying there. Eye's closed and not breathing but looking back to himself. I ran up to him and put my fingers to his pulse, nothing. I start giving him CPR, hoping, praying that he was come back when I did that. I kept pumping and giving him breathes when I heard a chopper above us.

"Josh please don't leave me" I put my forehead on his and held his left hand.

"I love you"

Cliff hanger! I thought why not since there is only one more chapter left. Will Josh live? Or will he die? I guess you'll just have to wait and see. Alright so I like writing things like this. I might do a Chris or Mike. Or hey maybe something else Rami Malek. Meh I would like to see what you guys think about that. Alright so have a good day/night and I'll see you later.
