Chapter 13

Couple months later

Josh and I were let out of the hospital, we told the police that there were rabid animals running amuck and that was what happened to Rachel and Steven. They didn't raise any more suspicious and just let it die down but warning everyone to not go on the mountain until they cleaned it up. We went on with our life but Josh and I made sure that we stayed close to make up for lost time. I helped him find a good Psychologist; I told him he needed to find one after what happened and if it felt better I would go with him to each and every one. He liked that idea and seemed to be actually liking the help, his parents were mad about the prank but didn't disown him, they knew he was just trying to have closure but grief hits people differently. They made more of an effort to help Josh and to make sure that I was okay as well. Josh stayed with me every time his parents went out of out for business but my mom was happy to have him. She never hated him for what happened which was nice because Josh needed all the support he could get. I kept the bones making sure that I still had a reminder of the old women and how she saved me and everyone.

I was thinking back to when this all started and drift off to the part of my brain that I knew I needed to get rid of. It was thankfully broken from Josh's voice,

"Hey Y/n so I was thinking we should have a get together with the gang" we had been lounging on the couch all day with my feet rested comfortably on him while I laid next to the arm rest. I sat up and looked at him with my eye brow raised.

"Last time you did that we nearly died and then you became a Wendigo" he just laughed and shook his head.

"I know but this time we'll have it at your place and I promise I'll be on my best behavior. No pranks. We'll maybe one" I gave him a yeah-right look and he laughed even harder.

"Kidding" I sighed and thought about it. We haven't really talked to the rest of the guys really after we all got out of the hospital.

"Fine, but no alcohol and no "partying like we're porn stars". I mean it. I'll order some pizza and we'll just pig out and have a movie day, sound good?"

"Sounds perfect" he smiled and started to get up.

"Um, maybe I'll tell everybody" he stopped and nodded

"Probably for the best"

So after calling everyone and they all agreeing on it being at my place and no funny business they all accepted. I told them that we would do it around five o'clock and it was four o'clock right now.

"Josh want to order pizza and I'll get some comedies to watch"

"Aye, aye captain" I chuckled and started getting everything ready. After a few minutes I had a bunch of comedies ranging from parodies to romance comedies and Josh had just grabbed the pizza and started to place plastic plates and napkins out for everyone. I heard my phone ringing, picking it up I saw it read 'Chris'.

"Hello loser"

"You just broke my heart Y/n"

"Sorry I forgot that ice could break easily"

"Agh my heart" I chuckled

"What's up? Where are you guys?"

"Outside but I thought it would be fun to call you since you don't know how to answer your door when someone is knocking"

"You didn't knock"

"Is she going to let us in or do we have to us Derek's head to smash it done" I heard Olivia say in the background

"Hey why mine?"

"Because you have a big head and it wont do damage to something that's not there" I laughed and headed for the door. I opened the door and saw everyone, you know I don't want to admit it but I really missed hanging with everyone.

"Y/n" they all said in unison.

"Hey come in"

We all had settled in, ate until we were good and satisfied and started reminiscence about before the whole incident on that god forsaken hill.

"So you guys finally got together after what, years?" Josh said

"Hey now we didn't know we liked each other" Chris tried to justify

"Yeah right" we all said with a scuff. They both turned cherry red and we all laughed.

"Its okay, Derek would put sticky notes everywhere until I finally went on a date with him"

"No I didn't"

"Oh yes you did. I still have all of them"

"Damn it. Why even now am I the only one getting picked on"

"Because you're the easiest to pick on" Derek started pouting after that and Olivia gave him a kiss and he started to cheer up.

"Weak" I called from across the room. All of a sudden Josh kissed me and I shut up.

"Mhm I'm the weak one" Derek said with amusement.

The night was fun we all kept talking and having a good time. I told everyone that they could stay the night if they liked, they liked the idea and I made sure everyone had blankets and pillows. After an hour everyone was sleeping except Josh and I.

"Josh do you remember the day we met?"

"You mean the day I almost killed you?" I smiled

"Yeah that day"

"I do, why?"

"I remembered looking into your eyes and feeling safe. But you also had a hint of sadness to them. Do you remember?" he stopped watching the movie and looked into my eyes.

"I do"

"Where you struggling even back then?" he just kept staring at me

"No I wasn't. I was upset because as soon as I saw you after almost killing you I had this feeling that you were looking at me and not through me. I don't know why I thought that I just felt like you could see the real me and I wanted to get to know you after that but I thought that you would be angry" I moved my face closer and planted a sweet but passionate kiss on his lips.

"I was never mad, well maybe because you killed Lui" I chuckled and he smiled

"Actually about that I felt bad and I got him fixed I just kept forgetting to tell you"

"Really? Oh thank god poor Lui" we both laughed and as soon as we stopped we both stared at each other

"Y/n"

"Josh"

"Thank you"

"For what?"

"For not giving up on me" I just kissed him and it started to get a bit more passionate until we heard groans coming from across us.

"Get a room you two" we broke apart smiling but kept our foreheads touching each other with our eyes closed, just lingering on each others presence.

So I'm sad to say that this is the end of the Josh Washington x Reader!
