Chapter 8

Josh's P.O.V

"Whatever" Y/n said. I know she's stressed but taking it out on Mike isn't the answer, I just sighed and I was tired of all the fighting and everything. I knew it wasn't Y/n's fault but she shouldn't have put Mike in a choke hold, it doesn't benefit anybody. I turned and walked to Mike to see if he needed help and I left Y/n standing there, she needed time to cool down. I walked up to Mike and asked him if he was good, he just nodded his head and kept breathing deeply. After a few more breathes Mike told us that it wasn't Y/n's fault that he had provoked her. He was still clutched over as he spoke,

"I'm such an idiot. I knew she wasn't going to give up without a fight but it made her look like the bad guy, she just didn't want to leave you"

"What do you mean?"

"I told Y/n after that little incident that maybe it would be best for you to stay here while we find the others, then we would come back for you". At that I tensed up, they were going to leave me, again.

"But Y/n and I had an argument and told me that if we were going to leave you that she would stay here with you" I relaxed after hearing that. Y/n. That's why I love her so much, after everything she still is willing to be near me. I don't know what I would do if she didn't come at all.

"Y/n, I'm sorry-" I say as I turn around to face her but she wasn't there. No, no, where did she go?

"Guys did you see where Y/n went?" this put everyone on alert and we all looked frantically around.

"Y/n?" we walked around the whole sanatorium and nothing, not even a sign. Then I looked towards the front doors, I run towards the doors and put both of my hands on the door knobs. Hoping that she was out there, I swung the doors open so quickly I almost swung them off their hinges.

"Y/N?", nothing. I started to freak out; I could feel the curse spreading more every time I freak out. It happened when I couldn't digest the food that Y/n gave me and I guess that's when I blacked out and awake after hearing her voice. She looked worried but still willing to be near me. She calms me down, even when I had my small melt downs when my sisters died. I closed my eyes and tried to imagine her here, talking to me with those beautiful lips and those gorgeous eyes that always looked comforting and loving.

"Any sign of her" Mike says, I slowly open my eyes and still see nothing but when I turn I look at the ground and see footprints. I don't necessarily know if they're hers but it's the best shot we have.

"No but I think she left. I see footprints and I think we should follow them", we all agreed and headed out after the footprints. Please be safe Y/n. I can't lose you, not now, not ever. I didn't tell you I was sorry. And I love you.

Y/n's P.O.V

I back tracked and found the opening that we had just entered from at the beginning of our search and I placed the elk down first and then I ran towards the other opening and placed the elephant next, they both glowed and when the glowing died down they disappeared into the snow. It was a sight to see the glowing gave a sense of protection and warmth. I look into my hand and see that I still have the dog, butterfly, turtle, dolphin and rabbit. It was getting easy to find the openings but I knew that by now the others have figured out that I'm gone and their probably looking for me. Hopefully I can complete this before they think I've gone insane.

Picking up my running I knew I needed to get it done quick or else Josh couldn't be saved. Come on, keep running, you need to him, RUN. I kept saying in my head. When I reached the third opening I was out of breathe but my legs were still able to keep going. I placed the dog next. It did the same as the elephant and the elk. But I didn't watch it as long before I ran to the next opening.
