Chapter 15

Guess who's back? Me! Sorry I haven't been writing Life Kinda got crazy and I had to forget all of my social life for a while but now I'm back. So with out farther a due here is the rest of the story.

"So Dana how do you know my friend Dylan here?" Kayla asks.

"Well here mom and ugh my dad are 'dating' I guess you could say," we both cringe at the word dating. Don't get me wrong I totally okay with old people dating but I'm not okay with my mom dating. 

"Dating wow. How do you two feel about this?" Good old Kayla trying to get to the bottom of things in life.

"I could get use to it. I've got a pretty nice room, cool sisters, and a new neighbor."

We chill in my room for what seems like minute but truly was hours. The sun had set and I really didn't want Kayla to go home yet. I haven't seen her in a while I kinda want to spend as much time with her as possible. 

"Cole, your mom is on the phone and wants to know if you want to spend the night?" My mom asks which really makes so sense to me. She knows him and Kayla both are going to say yes.

"Can we?"They both ask at the same time.

"Of course," my mom chirps with a grin and walks out of my room. Whoa she just- and- that is not my mom. Apparently I wasn't the only one that noticed it because Cole acknowledge the elephant in the room."Did your mom just sound pleasant?" I nod slowly coming out of shock.

"well since we're all staying here why not have a party!" Dana yells Sitting on the floor."everyone in a circle," he demands.

"Why do we have to be in a circle?" Kayla asks sitting next to him.

"So we can play truth or dare,"he smiles devilishly.

"Truth or dare. Really Dana? Isn't that a little elementary?"

"Nope now who wants to go first? Any volunteers? No okay how about you," he says point to Kayla.

"Okay! Dare."

"Okay I dare you to steal something for Dylan's sisters room."

"Okay but what?"

"Take her bear and put it outside so in the morning she freaks,"I offer as an idea. I think I'm starting to get in to this.

"Oh Dylan what is she sees me or something?"

"It's a dare you gotta do it."

"fine..." We wait for 10 minutes while Kayla garbs the bear and runs. we see the front light come and see her place it in the tree facing Lilly's room. Kayla runs back in to my room laughing with tears in her eyes. "oh my gosh I can't wait to see her reaction in the morning when she sees her precious bear staring at her in the morning." 

"Okay, who's next. Dylan."

"Truth." I blurt out way to fast.

"Okay. Um... What is the biggest secret you are hiding from everyone right now?" My heart stops. What is the biggest secret I'm hiding from everyone. 

"Which one?" I ask looking at my fingers that have just become much more interesting than this game.

"All of them," Dana replies to happy for my comfort.

"Okay, well first of Lilly is actually my half sister,"Great opener Dylan lets see what else you blurt out tonight. Before anyone can ask me who here dad is I already tell them."Cole's dad is actually her dad. Apparently our parents were having an affair before we were born. My mom found about you and then got pregnant with me. My dad was poisoned and that's how he actually died. Cole I found the money I just didn't know if we should leave right now so I was gonna hid it. And I have a summer house in L.A that my dad left me and my mom knows nothing about it." Good job Dylan anything else you wanna tell them about?

The room is silent. I look to Cole who is in shock from my information. I turn to Kayla but she has the same reaction as Cole. Dana seems to be the only one unfazed by my news and for once I'm glad this kid is here. I get up from the circle grab my blanket and curl up in a ball. I don't hear any movement just breathing. Finally someone gets up and turns out my light. I feel my bed dip and someone cuddled up to me.

"I'm sorry." Is all he says and it comforts me. I turn around and put my head in his chest and cry. I don't know why I cry but I know it feels good and why I cry I think about how were gonna leave here soon and how I can't wait. 

A piercing scream is all I hear as I slowly drift out of my dream. I don't remember going to sleep but I do remember me spilling part of my guts last night. The scream happens again and I fully awake. I look at Cole who looks at me the same way. What the hell was that? We all run out of my room down to the source of the scream. It's Lilly. 

"Bearyton! Who put Bearyton out there!" I try by best to keep in my laughs. "Don't just stand there someone get him out of that tree before he falls." Non of us move. "Ahhhh." That scream! I walk to the window open it and grab the bear.

"hear now shut up!"

"What's going on in here."My mom comes rushing out of her room with Dana's dad close behind.

"Someone put Bearyton out in that tree." She starts to cry. Time for me to go."Dylan did it I just know it." Don't fight Dylan it will only make things worse. "Look at her she has guilt written all over her face.

"Dylan did you do it?" 

"No I didn't mom."

"Kayla did Dylan do this?"

"No she didn't ma'am she was with me last night in her room with the boys talking." My mom nodds believing her. She turns around on her hells and leave with Dana's dad right behind her. We go back to my room before Lilly and explode on us.

"How about last night everyone," of course Dana has to bring it up.

"Last night was fun you know."Kayla pipes.

"Yeah it was. Now what was that I about money to leave for a summer house in L.A?" Shit I forgot I said all of that.

"What about it?" Cole say narrowing his eyes.

"I want in. I don't wanna stay with my dad and not here. No offense." He directs towards me.

"Non taken. Tha's why We're leaving." I say grabbing the box from behind my bed.

"When?" He asks coming up behind me to see whats in the box.

"Soon."

"what's the plan?" I look up at Cole to see if he trust Dana. He nods in approval.

"We're going to L.A to get away. Cole and I will get jobs. Live there. Hopefully get discovered and never have to come back here."

"I wanna go," Kayla whispers. i almost forgot she was there. I look up at her and see she's serious.

"You do?" We all ask her.

"Yeah. I really wanna continue with dance but my parents wanna stop me and send me to a privet science school for the nerds of America. I can't deal with that. This is the escape I've been waiting for."

"Fine I guess we leave this weekend. How much money do you have with you?"

"My mom gave me over $300 while I'm here so I'm not a burden on my aunt and uncle."

"Perfect. Dana,"I'm going for a long shot here but,"do you have any money with you?"

"Yeah and I got money from my gigs before I moved here."

"How much?"

"$3,000" shit that's a lot.

"Really? No joke?"

"No joke. I save my money very well and it's in my bank account under my mom."

"Perfect! We have enough money to get us L.A and start our new lives." I squeak. I can't believe it but it's really about to happen.

"So when's the bus ride?" Kayla asks and then I remember she's afraid of flying.
