Chapter 3

I wake up to a brown haired boy jumping on my bed."Wake up!"He yells. I turn over and put my pillow on my head."Come on sleepy head wake up were going to the beach house today." I almost for got that was to day. 

We've been planing this since my dad died 3 years ago. I remember me and Cole laying on my bed talking about how horrible our lives were.

"Why can't we be this happy again?"I ask looking at the picture on my night stand."We were so freaking happy.'

"Because that's a picture. We just look happy but really we are all broken inside."He replies seriously.

"Gosh Debby Downer I was just saying."I look at the picture.It was true. We looked so happy but we weren't really. My dad was getting sick. I knew I was getting hated more and more by my own mother. ole was scared shit less of his dad and everyone else lived in a hopeless happy state.

"It's the true"He protest."When have we ever really been happy?"

I try to think. I look at the picture again. "There was that one time when we were there and I actually felt like my mom loved me."I said truthfully."I wanna go there again."

"And you're telling me this why?" I hit him with a pillow."Ow!"

"Because jerk. We could try to be happy again."

"Try to and doing are two different things."

"So we should go. But only when we are old enough to hang out with out our parents."

That's how we ended up hear. I convinced my mom to go."Come on wake up!"

"No I'm comfortable in my own bed."I protest.

"Not unless I get in it."He threatens.

"That's not gonna make me get up."I look at him with a frown."We've been friends since were 8. I've slept in the same bed as you plenty of times."It was true.

"Yeah and we've also been friends with benifits sime we were 13."He wispered in my ear. I start to turn red. "Last time DJ." He tells me. I roll over and close my eyes. Big mistake.

"Cole what are you doing. Put me down"I scream hitting him.

"Will you to hook up already."My little sister says watching us with Cole's little sister Chrisy.

"They're probably waiting for this trip."She says with a smirk.

"That would explain why he wants to go so much. Typical boy."She rolls her eyes.

Cole puts me down and I glare at my sister. "What do you want toad."I say coldly.

"To tell you to wake up so we can go.But it seems lover boy here is taking care of it."She smirks trying to get under my skin. She always does this.

"Well I'm up so you can leave now."I say shuting my door.

"I'll go put your bag in the car. Get dressed!"He yells as he walks down the the hall.

I go to my closet. We have a long plan ride to the island. I want something comfortable. I reach for my sweats but they're all dirty so I grab some jeans and a crop top. I brush my hair and pull it to the side and a ponytail.

I run down stairs to find everyone in the cab waiting for me. I climb to the back and sit next to Cole.

"Took you long enough."

"Hey everything is either dirty or packed for the trip."I reach in my pocket for my phone. I pull it out and text him.

I'm so glad we are going on this trip - DJ

Me too. We finally get to go to paradise :) - colester

I smile looking up at him. I love this kid. He always helped my forget about my problems. We're the only ones in the back. He grabs my hand and our fingers intertwined. I smile again.

What if my sister turns around! - Dj

Well then she will see ;) - colester

I shake my head. My phone buzzes again.

Don't worrie about it this is going to be perfect. I promise <3 - colester

"Cole Dylan you two will have to sit away from us."My mom say handing us our tickets.

"How far?"

"Not to far Dylan. Just two rows in back."I look at the ticket. our family was already in the back and now we were in the last row on the plane.

We board the plane. Cole puts my stuff in the carry one compartment. 

"You ready for this amazing trip?"

"As ready as I ever could be." I smile faintly looking at the bruise on his shoulder. He most have notice because he covered it.

"It looks worse than it really is." He reassures me.

"I know but I don't like you getting hurt."

"It's not like you can just tell my dad to lay off."He chuckles.

"I'm being for real Cole." look at him.

"I know yo-"The flight attenden stopes him mid-sentence.

"Ladys and Gentelmen please fassen your seatbelt as the flight prepares to take off. Thank you and enjoy your flight."

I turn back to him "Look don't worry about anything the next two weeks okay."I nod. I put my IPod in and cuddle up to him. He puts his arm around me and kisses my forehead. 

When I awake we are still in the air. People seem to be a sleep."Some one is awake.'I hear Cole say.

"How long have I been out."

"A good hour."He smirks."You know you say my name a lot in your sleep. You must have been dreaming about me."

"You know I do remember something in my dream about you."I look up"I was chasing you around trying to -"

"Trying to kiss me. Babe you don't have to chase me for a kiss." He smirks.

"No i was tring to kill you for having sucka big ego."I corrected him.

"Funny" he says with a sarcastic voice.

"I thought so."

"So you don't wanna kiss me?"

"Nope at one bit."

"But I'm feeling sad." he gives me a puppy dog face.

"Cole."

"Come on."

"What if some one sees us."

"Everyone's asleep that we know."

"I stand up and look at the rows ahead of us. He was right the were asleep."No"

"But!"he protested.

"No Cole."

"Fine then be that way"He pouts. I look at him and see those big brow eyes. He was being a brat about it.

"Okay one kiss but that's the only one."I tell him.

"The whole trip?"

"Sure why not."

"But that's not fair."

"Cole most people don't wanna kiss their friends.

"I'm not most people. Besides you know we're more than friends."He was right we were kinda a couple but no one knew. Everyone thought that we were just friends. Even me sometimes until he turns in to kiss-me-every-second-Cole.

"I'm just messing with you." I say leaning in for that kiss he keeps asking me for. Our lips met and I feel happy forgetting about everything bad that has ever happen. I pull away slowly not wanting it to end but the flight attendent is watching us now and clearing her throught.

"Sorry."
