Chapter 6

A/N: Sorry I haven't written in a while I went to and IM5 concert. It was so much fun and then I had practice but I'm back now so here we go.

By the time we got to the house the sun was gone shining the moon down on us. I wish we could have stayed out a little longer to look up at the stars. With out the city lights we normally have you could see everything. I was breath taking.

 I must have stopped to stare up because Cole was pulling at me to keep walking in to the house. i didn't wanna go in side. Inside was my spoiled sister, disapproving mother and Cole's abusive dad. Out her it was quiet, besides the waves coming in, and the stars we just so bright and the moon look so close you could almost touch it. At that moment I could understand why the say it looks like cheese. It was freaking amazing.

I don't know what came over me but before I knew it I was running towards the water. I knew it was freezing in the water but I didn't care it had to be better than inside. I kicked off my shoes and jumped in to the water swimming out a little till it was up the my neck.

I could barley hear Cole cursing under his breath at me running away. "Dammit Dylan. Really you just had to go in the water." His voice getting louder head in to the water to get me. When he finally gets in to the water I can hear him yell at me about how cold it was in here and how he was going to kill me when we get out.

I just laugh while swimming closer to him."Oh come on wimp it's not the cold in here. It feels good in here." I tell him before going under and swimming around him. I could tell where he was because he was kicking like hell trying to keep warm.

When I come back up I can tell he's looking for me like I had drowned or something pulled me under. I laugh causing him to turn around and swim towards me with fury. "Can we get out and go inside I'm freezing."He manages between his shivers.

"You can go in but I'm not. I love it out here." I float on my back towards the shore.

"I'm not leaving you out here. You're crazy to think I'd leave you alone again." Again. I hang on to that thinking back to what happen. But the pain and embarrassment makes the memory stop dead in it tracks. That was the past I could never do that again. I had Cole and music nothing could make me do something stupid like that again. Never again.

"I'm not crazy."I say coldly. I could feel the hurt come over Cole's face. I never talk to him like that not even when he pisses me off, but that memory cut me deep. How could he bring it back up. He promised never to speak of it again.

I pushed that all aside getting out of the water heading towards my shoes. I ran in side the house dripping wet with sand covering my feet and legs. I stand in the middle of the floor looking around for everyone else. They were all out on the deck sitting around the fire looking happy with out us. I laugh in disgust.

I felt a little hurt though. They didn't look for us or get worried that we were still out. The didn't wait for us toget us in trouble they just laughed and acted like a big happy family. I slam my door as hard as I can with out braking it. I just wanted to sleep it off and forget about everything that had been brought up in the last 10 minutes.

Walking back out to go take a shower I feel someone grab me.I turn around expecting to find Cole at the end of the person grabbing me. My mouth dropped as Cole's dad let go of my hand.

"Where is he?" He asks. I could smell the beer on his breath. I guess that's why they didn't care they were getting drunk and letting our little sisters try a "little bit of it".
