I have two options.
A: go straight to the point and reveal everything to the hacker. Consequences: He would probably kill me if I knew too much. Maybe he would have activated a bomb he planted in this apartment or of some sort. I mean, that would probably be easier to do than hacking into a system with a lot of securities.
B: Pretend that the whole thing with the MP3 never happened. Consequences: I might not get in trouble but would probably have been mistaken for an idiot.Totally B. Yes, B it is.
"What are you speaking of? I was freaking shocked at how you knew the last word and sang it so perfectly... Don't tell me..." I started. Man, I am good at acting innocent."Oh that. That was just a simple guess" The hacker simply shrugged. Is this really the same genius hacker who hacked into a weapon system at first attempt?
"Are you sure...?" I asked to play along.
"Are you serious? Who would watch such a lame show at my age? no offense Wreny" He said with an apologetic voice at the last part. Or so I think... It's quite hard to tell due to his robotic, or rather creepy anonymous voice."No problem hacker... The blood hacker... The blood joker hacker...hacker..." I slowly said trying to hold my mask. Nailed it.
"Just call me BJ. No need to be soooo formal" He said shortly waving with his left hand.
"So hacker... why are you here...? hacker-"
"BJ." He just responded."Hacker BJ"
"BJ. Just BJ."
"BJ...ha-"
"I called you because I was bord, but if you keep up that retarded attitude I will just go again. This is too brain damaging. I don't feel comfortable anymore." He said while leaning against a chair."No, wait! BJ hack-"
"BJ out," He said before the television went back to normal. He is rude as ever. Well, at least he is gone. I guess... that is a good thing?I started to head towards the fridge so I could get something to drink. I opened the fridge door and the first thing I saw was raspberry juice. That doesn't seem so bad.
I took the carton out, then took a cup and started to pure the red juice in it. As I did the cup fell and the juice was now spread on the table. Great. My body froze in place when I saw the red liquid slowly spreading on the surface. Suddenly an unpleasant memory of children screaming and a dead body with horrible bruises being dragged away. The remembrance of the sight made me fall to the ground. An urgent headache came to me. I pressed my hands against my head, in the hope of it to end somehow. At that very moment, I could see the spilled juice forming a small drop at the age of the table. The red liquid, similar to blood, started to slowly drip down. Blood...In that split second, it was as if it just hit me.
{ Flashback }
I was holding her hand tightly, afraid that if I let go, I would have got lost immediately in this big building. She moved fast. The only thing that I could do was trying to keep up. That, of course, would be impossible. Every time I had reached her, I would end up behind her once again. In the hall, we were walking in was uncomfortably empty. Only one seat wasn't empty. A little boy with blond hair was sitting on one of those chairs against the wall. His knees were pressed against his chest and his hands... it seemed that he was holding on to something. As we came closer the object became more visible. The little small boy, who was probably near my age, was clinging on to a black rose. We passed by him and rushed our way through the big empty hall.
We finally reached the end of the hall and a double door there not so far away from us. Not understanding a thing that was going on right now, I kept my eyes on my mother who was slowly bending down to my hight.
"Wren. I know this has been really hard on you... and I am really sorry..." She said, placing her hands on my head."This will be over quick. I promise. As long as I am here, I will make it end fast." She said before kissing my forehead.
"Wait here for me," She said before raising up. I didn't want her to go. I would rather go with her than staying away from her. She was starting to move again, making me anxious.
I took her hand and hold it tight to me, stopping her.
"Mom..." I said.
"After this, can't we go and eat some crepes together?" I finished. She turned her head towards me with a beautiful smile. Such a powerful smile that you can't help but return it back.
"When we reach home, we will eat dozens of crepes together," She said patting my head gently. Her back was facing me as she was taking her leave. I turned my head back when my mom left my eyesight. The boy we saw earlier is gone. I am the only one here right now. I slowly made my way and sat on one of the empty chairs. I never knew silence could be this scary...As time passed by, my mother didn't come out. I started to feel uneasy and scared. Then immediately a loud sound was heard from the room. Seconds after that everything went silent. The door opened and I could see in a bit, but my mom wasn't in my eyesight. The man was holding the door open, staring at me. I think he is one of those known as 'bodyguards'.
"Mom...?" I called but got no answer. I slowly moved towards the door and went inside. A man, sitting on a chair behind a disc was looking at me as well with a smile. Fear slowly embraced me and then I realized where my mother was. She was laying on the ground with a puddle of blood under her head. I slowly walked up to her, my legs feeling weak when I reached her. Her eyes were open, she was looking up. Her face looked so pale.
"Mom?" I shook her, in hope of an answer.
"Mom wake up... don't you want to eat crepes together?" Once again there was no response.
Is she asleep? why won't she answer...?
"mom..."
"Are you still...alive...?" I almost whispered with a shaking voice. No answer was returned to my question. As I stood there for a long time and waited for her... as time passed by... I realized that she wasn't going to wake up...
Is this... what they call death...?

As the drop reached the ground, my eyes started to feel watery. Something gentle was falling down my cheek, but then I realized that it was a tear. Soon before I knew it, more and more of them started to appair. Confused as I was, I tried to stop them. As I did so, it worsened, and as result the emotions bursted out of me.
