Chapter 7

A Little Surprise for Mai Ding

Mai Ding felt anxious for the whole riding to their date's place destination. An Ziyan refused to tell him where they would go and it made Mai Ding dead worried. The last time An Ziyan wouldn't let him know where did he bring him, An Ziyan took him for a bungee jumping date. It almost made Mai Ding peed in the air. What if for this date An Ziyan took him to a ghost house?

There was a popular ghost house that part of a popular circus group that currently visiting their town. And An Ziyan was just that evil and unpredictable, he wouldn't think twice to torture Mai Ding for bringing him to a horrible place for their date.

"I'm not taking you to the ghost house." An Ziyan snorted so suddenly.

Mai Ding looked at An Ziyan who was currently driving their car with perplexed expression, "You can read my mind?"

There was nothing An Ziyan wanted to do aside from to roll his eyes, so he rolled his eyes. Mai Ding was just plain stupid. "You said it loud just now, dummy."

"Oh, did I?" Mai Ding smiled sheepishly at An Ziyan. "Where are you taking me, then?"

"You will find out about it very soon. Now can you be quiet and stop being noisy? You make my head hurts." An Ziyan snapped.

"Geez, can you just answer me nicely?"

"If I am being nice so suddenly, you should get worried. An alien might kidnapped me and takes my place, don't you know alien usually obsessed with a idiot like you? An idiot's brain is more delicious than smart people's brain."

Mai Ding pouted. Damn An Ziyan with his sharp tongue. When it came to An Ziyan's snarky comments, the results always same for Mai Ding; a total defeat. So he just decided to not say anything and having a good time to sulk in his seat.

Mai Ding maybe was just being paranoid and overthinking about where An Ziyan was going to take him. The reality was An Ziyan only took him to a classic and high class restaurant. When they arrived to the said place, some waitresses were immediately welcomed them. They informed that the private room under An Ziyan's reservation was ready for them to use. An Ziyan might knew that Mai Ding didn't yet feeling comfortable to act intimate with him infront of large audients so he almost having a private place had been set up whenever they went out for a date. Mai Ding felt a gushed of warm feeling surrounded his whenever he remembered An Ziyan always concerned about his discomfort.

One of the waitress led them to the reserved room. And when the door finally being opened, Mai Ding almost made his jaw dropped to the floor because what he just found inside the room.

"MAI DING!!!!" Su Xiaomi with his unbeatable loud voice yelled at him. He was grinning with his usual stupid face to Mai Ding and An Ziyan. Beside him, there was Yan Yan. He said nothing and his face refused to held any emotion aside from a very small smirk. Well, Yan Yan just being his usual self as well. It's been awhile since the last time they met, and there wasn't really anything that changed about the couple.

After spending few minutes to exchange the greetings and Xiaomi having a good time to 'climb' at Mai Ding like a monkey usually did, Mai Ding finally threw his questioned glance at An Ziyan. Yan Yan and Xiaomi lived in different city with them, so why An Ziyan brought them here?

"Yan Yan is having a business trip here, so I asked him to bring Su Xiaomi along. You look lonely lately so I think you must want to meet him." An Ziyan explained.

Mai Ding was having teary eyes, feeling thankful once more for An Ziyan's effort and concern. Since he graduated, Mai Ding only spent his days to look for a job. An Ziyan was working. Mai Ding rarely got anyone to accompany him and he didn't hang out with his friends either. Mai Ding was indeed feeling lonely.
