Chapter 12

Hide and Seek

Mai Ding was getting better in playing hide and seek. Not that he really wanted to do it, anyway. But he had to.

The exact moment he found out from Aunt Qian Mei that the president of the company he was currently working in was none other than Zhang Luo-the man he met in the restaurant some time ago, Mai Ding knew immediately that he was doomed. An Ziyan would skin him alive if he ever found out about this.

For a while, Mai Ding still had this small hope inside of him. Maybe, just maybe that Zhang Luo he met in the restaurant and Zhang Luo his boss slash Aunt Qian Mei's son was different guy. Zhang Luo wasn't exactly a common name, but who knew in this big country they got another guy named Zhang Luo.

Unfortunately, Mai Ding's hope had to crumble into pieces in one morning. He just came to the company that day and he finally saw a little glimpse of the company's president. Mai Ding's breathe immediately hitched. The man he saw was exactly the same Zhang Luo he met in the restaurant.

Remembering the dangerousness of the situation, Mai Ding had this thought in his mind to resign, but then again... he signed the contract by himself. If he broke the contract he would have to pay a certain amount of money. Not to mention it was really a huge amount of money. Where could he possibly get the money that much?

Mai Ding was in real doom. And he didn't really another option for escaping.

"Hey, Mai Ding, are you going to have lunch with us? There is new restaurant in the end of the street, we should try it out."

Mai Ding snapped out from his computer screen and he lifted his face he found some of his colleagues had been waiting for him in front of their room. Their team got a big room for them to share with the whole members.

There were five people in total in their administration team. Four girls and a guy.

Xiao Yan, the eldest among them, was a strict woman. She was the head of the team. Liu An and Xin Yue were both pretty girls, but they were so noisy. They often talked about make up, fashion, handsome office-mates and all. As in Mai Ding said handsome office mates then it should be including their president. Those two girls were really fangirling so hard over Zhang Luo. But who was Mai Ding to complain, Mai Ding could notice that most of girls in the company also had a crush on their boss. Not that they could help it. It was an inevitable since the man was really handsome, kind and charismatic.

'Not as handsome as his An Ziyan anyway.' Mai Ding immediately added in his mind. He was scared of his own mind that just now dared enough to think about another man aside from An Ziyan.

The last girl in their team was Zhu Mei. She was a quiet and very polite girl. And the only guy in their team was Zhuo Yang, his personality reminded Mai Ding of Li Ming a lot. It felt like Mai Ding found his old friend again in Zhuo Yang.

Overall, all of Mai Ding's team mates were nice. All this time Mai Ding never really had friends, but he was so glad that now he was able to make some friends in the company.

"So what do you say? Are you coming with us or not?" Zhuo Yang asked impatiently.

Mai Ding thought about it for awhile. Not that he didn't want to go with his team mates, but... if he wanted to having lunch outside, that's mean he have to ride the lift and pass the lobby. There was a quite big possibility for him to bumped to Zhang Luo and Mai Ding couldn't take that risk. All this time, in order to avoid the worst situation, Mai Ding always chose to go a little earlier or a little bit later for his lunch. And most of time, he just chose to have lunch in their company canteen where he didn't have to ride the main lift and pass the lobby.
