Damon's Only Weakness

Damon's P.O.V.

I just got home when I heard someone crying and realized it was Bailey. I quietly walked upstairs and to her room where I saw Stefan comforting her as she cried into her pillow. I stood outside her room and listened to their conversation. I needed to know why my sister, the person I love more than anything in the world, my only weakness, was crying.

Stefan: What's wrong?
Bailey: Elena told me to stay away from Jeremy.
Stefan: Why would she do that?
Bailey: Why do you think? To keep him from getting hurt.
Stefan: I'm so sorry Bailey.
I used my speed to quickly run to Elena's house. I got there and climbed up into her room. She then walked in.
Elena: Why are you here?
Me: To talk to you.
Elena: Look, if you want me to forgive Stefan I can't do that right now.
Me: I don't care if you and Stefan stay together or not.
Elena: Then what do you want to talk about.
Me: My sister.
Elena: Bailey?! What about her?
Me: Look, I know that you told Bailey to stay away from Jeremy to protect him, but Bailey won't hurt him.
Elena: How do you know?
I chuckled and looked at her.
Me: Because I know my sister better than anybody. Bailey refuses to hurt anyone or anything. I remember one time when she was four she killed a fly and then held a funeral for it because she felt so bad for taking it from its family. She only drinks from blood bags and animals but only if she really has to. If she hurts someone all she feels is guilt and she'll do whatever it takes to make it even. Bailey is a caring girl with a big heart that only worries about what'll make people happy, even if it makes her miserable. Look, I'm not asking you to like her. All I'm asking you to do is to let her continue seeing Jeremy. Because I've never seen her as happy as she is when she's with him.
Elena stood there for a second with an unreadable expression on her face.
Elena: Okay. They can stay together.
I just smiled and ran back home to tell Bailey the good news.

Bailey's P.O.V

I was sitting in my room crying into my pillow with Stefan sitting on my bed rubbing my back. A few seconds later we hear someone knock on my door. I look and sit up and see Damon leaning against the doorway.

Damon: Can we talk?
Me: Sure.
Stefan: I'll leave you two alone.
Stefan then got off of my bed and walked by Damon out of the room.
Damon: I know you probably hate me for what I did to Zack.
Me: Hate? Mad? Yes. But no matter what you do.I could never hate you.
Damon then walked over to me and sat on my bed next to me.
Damon: I heard about what happened with Elena.
Me: Yeah. Well it looks like I'm single again. I said with tears in my eyes.
Damon: No you're not. I looked at him shocked and confused.
Me: What do you mean?
Damon: I went down there and talked to Elena.She said that you could stay with Jeremy.
I then had the biggest smile on my face and hugged him. Damon chuckled and hugged me back.
Me: Damon, I love you.
Damon: I love you too Squirt. He said while kissing my head. I released him from the hug.
Me: I have to go see him.
I quickly got up and ran downstairs. I heard Damon chuckle before I walked out the door and used my vampire speed to get to Jeremy's house.
