"You're insane," I tell Will. "You can't honestly be telling me that you've eaten butterflies before. That's so unlike you."

Will looks at me like I'm slightly insane, as if eating butterflies is completely normal. "Well, when you get lost in the woods, you eat whatever you can find," He replies.

"Fascinating." I say, half serious, half mocking him.

We're on our way back to the cabin after a morning walk in the woods. We've been here for three days now, and it's honestly been the best three days I've had in awhile. Will can cook, which I find odd. I didn't really think he'd be good at cooking. Will is trying to explain everything to me about the camp and about the Gods and everything but, in all honesty, I don't really want to be a demigod. I just want to live a normal life. I want to go home and go back to highschool. That's something I never thought I'd say. It bothers me that Will doesn't know i don't like it here. I like Will, and I like being with him, both romantically and platonicly, but I think it's time that I tell Will.

"Will?" I say.

"Yes?" He replies

"After this vacation, I want to go home. I miss it," I stutter out.

"It's not safe, Nico," he says, his voice suddenly softer.

"There's no way we could go back? Just us two? We could live a normal life."

"You're a son of the big three, Nico. Any monster possible would come looking for you. For us," He tells me.

"Can we ask Chiron? Just to see if there's any possibility, and then, if there is, we can decide," I ask.

"Okay, I have no objection to asking. But try not to worry about it and enjoy the rest of our vacation, okay?"

"Okay."

Suddenly, I'm finding myself sitting in a tree. It's a long story. Basically, Will and I are playing tag in the woods. I climbed a tree and as I was going up, one of the branches broke. Now, I can't get down and Will can't get up, so I'm sitting at the top of the the tree laughing my head off and Will is on the ground, also laughing his head off. It's a good system. However, it's not getting me down from this tree.

"Willlllll" I yell down "How am I supposed to get down from here?"

"Not my problem Di Angelo. You climbed up there." He tells me

"When I get down from here, I am so going to get you back for this!"

"Just climb down as far as you can and then jump" he says through laughs

"Fine." I say

I start climbing down and sure enough, it's not too far of a fall from here to the ground, but if I land wrong I could definitely twist and ankle or hurt my knees. I try not to focus on that and in a wave of courage I jump.

Apparently, Will must have tried to catch me and failed because I pretty much landed on top of him.

"Are you okay?" I ask him as I crawl off. He looks at me for a minute and suddenly starts laughing like a hyena.

"oh- my- gods-" he comes out between laughs "that- was- hilarious. You- should've- seen- your- face- when- you- jumped" and he starts laughing harder. I didn't even know that it was possible.

"Oh, whatever." I say, starting to make him sit up after being practically smushed by me.

"Are you okay?" He asks, after finally calming down enough to talk normally.

"Yeah, I'm good. You were there for me. Are you okay?"

"Yeah, of course I'm okay. I'll always be there for you." He replies

I feel my face light up, bright red with blush and happiness. Will laughs.

"Let's get back to the cabin, we can eat dinner and go to bed" he says

"Okay"
