Woke up in my new mohagony patition room. I walked down the halls and use the restroom.I heard the door creak signaling that one of my grandparents opened up the door of their room. I did my hygiene routine that my mommy taught me and went to the kitchen. I met my grandpa drinking OJ Good Morning i said hey little savy he said and pointed out the stew fish and johnny bread that he prepared my eyes went wide simply because my mom said she got her specialty from my grandparents I devoured my food washed off and got ready for school.
I entered the classroom and Gabrielle said hey ! I said hey gabby where did you go yesterday she said she went in her aunt classroom and definitely won't be able to go out for lunch with a pout . I said why is that ? She said because of her open cuts and scars I looked at her confuse and the teacher interrupted with the little bell on her desk. Gabby took out her glasses and gave me the warning eye not to pry further. I slumped in my chair and gave Mrs.rolle my undivided attention she explained enthusiastically that we will have a project in group of two's one of the assignments will be written and one will be verbal. She took out a bag and allowed each of us to pick out numbers and find our partner. Everyone seemed partnered already until I turned around and bump into Some body causing me to fall the mysterious person said oh my bad I'm Michael everybody else just calls me Cuban what's your name Savy or should i say American ? I chuckled and said well my mom named me savy so let's go with that he said cool do you believe in coodies? I laughed and said no. He said great this project should be free from awkwardness. Mrs. Rolle instruct everyone to sit down and gave us our topic. This was the start of a friendship or so I thought.
