“He is so hot!” Seth squealed and started waving his hands around like a fan girl. I rolled my eyes. He had just had a traumatic experience and all he could talk about was Adam. “I mean, he is so strong! His biceps and pecs and ugh, it was perfect!” he said and rolled on to his back.

“Seth, he is a jerk!” I said. He knew about what happened when I touched Adam’s hand.

“A hot jerk! OMG, whew!’ he said and fanned himself. I laughed at his boy craziness and he joined in. I gave him some ice for the bruises that were forming on his legs as we sat on my bed and watched horror movies.

“Thank god I don’t have gym. These legs cannot be shown in public!” he said and pointed to the green blotch on his leg. I rolled my eyes and he laughed “We should have invited Adam! You know, so I could jump on him during the scary parts!” he said with a giggle.

“Jerk, remember? He’d just say no or worse, make fun of us.” I replied and Seth shrugged his shoulders. Absentmindedly, I looked out the window to the Winchester house. Lights were on at the house and to me that looked weird. I was used to it being dark all the time.

Weeks wore on and soon, it was Autumn. I always got teased because of it and it got old fast. Big freaking deal, I was named after a season, go get a life and stop bothering mine.  Since Halloween was just around the corner, the school was buzzing with talk of the masquerade dance on Halloween night. As always, I had no intention of going. Dances weren’t my thing and I didn’t want to ruin other people’s fun too.

Despite the time that had passed, Adam never fluctuated on his feelings towards me. He was just as cold as he was to me on the first day and it kind of scared me. I mean, what did I do? I wasn’t even mean to him and even if I was, I did apologize that night at the book store.

“What did I do?” I asked Seth at lunch one day.

“What are you talking about?” he asked and grabbed a French fry from my tray.

“Adam, he hates me!” I said and slumped back into my chair in defeat.

“Oh, can you get over it? It’s been like 3 weeks. It doesn’t matter anyways, even if he is hot.” He replied and chewed innocently on his fry. Anna looked up over her new book and nodded at me in agreement with Seth. “And besides, he doesn’t do anything to you anyways. He just ignores you!” Seth replied.

“Seth, you saw what happened in English today! He was paired up with me for the assignment and he went right to the teacher and told him that he couldn’t work with me.” I said and gave him a meaningful look.

“Okay, maybe he does hate you.” Seth replied and swiped another fry. I groaned and slumped lower into my chair.

At the end of the day, Aiden and I went home in silence. I wasn’t really up for talking to anybody at that point. I was still wrapped up in my thoughts of Adam and I didn’t know why. Thank everything high and mighty that it was Friday and I had 2 days to relax.

“Fall, you okay?” Aiden asked.

“Yea, fine. I’m just thinking.” I replied. Aiden gave me a suspicious look but didn’t say anything. He continued gave me curious glances out of the corner of his eyes every few minutes as we drove home. When we got home, I went straight up to my room and did my homework. Who cared if it was Friday? It wasn’t like I had anything better to do and besides, it gave me a distraction from any thoughts of Adam and a distraction from him was always accepted happily. I wanted nothing more than a nice, relaxing night but it wasn’t relaxing. But guess what I didn’t get. If you guessed a relaxing night, you’d be right. No matter what, all I could think about was Adam. At dinner, I ate my food with thoughts of Adam, Adam and more Adam. Why couldn’t I get him out of my mind? What was wrong with me? My parents saw my brooding look and gave each other looks of their own but didn’t do anything. They probably blamed raging teenage hormones. In bed that night, I tossed and turned with no sleep. I still couldn’t get him out of my mind. All I could think of was his beautiful face, his broad chest and pale skin. When I closed my eyes, all I saw were those violet coloured eyes.
