Chapter 21: Somebody was watching you?

Sorry for the long wait guys! It was my birthday weekend and I was really busy with the people who came over. BUT I uploaded now! yay! :) Its a bit of a filler chapter but I hope you love it! :D

 “How do we get back?” I asked after a few minutes of staring. He glanced out the window, back at me and grinned. Suddenly, we were both out of the car and I was straddling his waist and he was carrying me. I was not expecting to be carried.

“We walk.” He said and started walking.

“You mean you walk.” I replied and laid my head on his shoulder. He put a hand on my lower back and chuckled.

“Well yes.” He rubbed my back as he walked.

“Can’t we use my car?” I asked and he shook his head.

“I want to hold you.” He replied and I smiled. We descended into a comfortable silence in which he hummed softly and rubbed my back. 

“How do we get our cars back, then?”

“I’ll send one of the guys to pick the cars up.” Adam’s voice held a smile in it.

“Hey, Adam?” I asked.

“Mhm?”

“I’m confused. What is all of this? Why were you so rude to me?” I asked and I felt his shoulders sag.

“I don’t really want to talk about it right now. I’m happy. I don’t want to bring it down. We have time for this later.” He replied a little tensely.

“Is this about that Mary – Ann Katherine chick?” I asked and suddenly, Adam went still. He froze in his tracks and I feared that he would be mean again, drop me and run off but he didn’t. He sighed and kept walking. He didn’t reply to my question and I didn’t press it any farther. He clearly did not want to talk about it. After a few minutes, I realized that he wasn’t wearing a shirt!

“Aren’t you cold?” I asked and ran my hand up and down his bare back. The snow was still falling and Adam was shitless. He moaned softly and hugged me closer to his body.

“Nope. Not even a little bit.” He replied and my mouth dropped. How was that even possible? But he was telling the truth. No matter how cold it was, his body remained warm. I hugged him closer to try and get some heat.  He pressed me even closer to his body and rubbed his hand up and down my back.

“Whatever, I’m still going to keep you warm.”  I replied and rubbed his back. He chuckled softly and kissed my head.

“Thank you love.”

When we got back to school, everybody was gone. I checked the time and realized it was just after 4.

“Guess we took longer than we had thought.” I said. He was still carrying me and he didn’t seem to have any intention of letting me go.

“We should have stayed longer.” He murmured and nuzzled my neck. I giggled as he kissed my neck softly.

“We should get going.” I said and motioned him to put me down. He groaned but did as he was told but as soon as my foot touched the ground, he intertwined his fingers with mine.

“Adam, you need a shirt.” I said and gave him a look. He glanced down at his bare chest and pouted at me.

“I thought you liked this.” His pout got even bigger. I grabbed his face and kissed him hard on the lips.
