Chapter 15 ~ Andrew

 What is going on here? She just stopped a bullet mid flight! 

 Mystery stands unfazed, still staring down that Hunter who also stares her down, but then the lead hunter points his gun at Dylan who had rushed to her aid minutes before and is preoccupied by the two snarling creatures left trying to protect the teenagers who make a large wall of bodies between them and their exit. Mystery practically freezes, shooting ice daggers at him with her eyes and yells "what do you want?" 

 He laughs at her cold and full of malice "thought it would be obvious to the all seeing seer" he sneers.

 "I'll come with you, no struggle" he raises an eyebrow "IF, nobody here is harmed" his smile is wicked and sickening.

 "deal, let's go little lady" forever sneering at her once again but not shifting his gun from the unsuspecting Dylan. They handcuff her and push her between the few of them left, leaving through the tunnel. Bird girl and her companion rushes to the now free Dylan who is sweaty and wavering "Matthew where's Mystery?" 

Bird girl answers instead "we have to go, they have her" she sobs. 

"Gryphon, Mathew help me" his ankle has a nasty looking bite mark on it, the skin marred and dripping blood.

 "I'm Andrew, how can I help" I ask they turn to me as if I just said I was there all merciful grim reaper. Gryphon begins to say something but is interrupted by Dylan who said "run, stop them any way you can" I nod dashing off to the tunnel faster than I thought was possible. 

 I ran out of the hole and into the night, the waves crashing against the rocks and I look madly around for anything and ended up staring at my hands. If I could manage to conjure up the holo screen again I could probably wire the other electronics to do what I want... I concentrate harder than I have ever done, now desperate to help. Come on, do it for Carl, for the teens who come every night possible, for the cavern and it's newest performer!

 A glowing green screen appeared in front of me just above my device that covered most all of my left forearm. I begin immediately to link the electrical units around me and begin my own special effects show.  

 The lights in the area shut of and my screen dims so I don't get caught, next I turn them on presenting them with the largest snake they will ever see in their life perhaps. A huge earth cobra turns the corner toward the now started Hunters and their every terrifying creatures. I see them draw guns with shaky hands, so I make it hiss at them loud and clear, turning it a little more solid. Civilians scream and run away from the great big beast, but the hunters hold their ground, their panthers slink to the cars hissing but clearly scared of my beast. 

 The snake comes closer to them and lashes out at the leader who grabs my holo-graphic snake by its large fangs. The snake writhes and manages to escape his hold and goes on to attacking Mystery's guards, growing larger by the second. They cringe and run at the beast but one is hit with its tail and sent flying the other became a snake snack, swallowed in one swift bite and slowly he suffocated inside the solid holographic creature of my own invention.

 Mystery weak from the fight before falls limp to the ground but the snake grabs her around the waist with its tail lifting her into the air away from the hunters left on the ground. My snake makes another lung at the leader who dodges left and shoots it in the head doing absolutely no damage. He lunges at the snake who thumps him on the head with its tail, Mystery's limp head violently shaking with my cobra's movement. 

 The cobra slithers hissing around the block away from the other hunters who disappear in the opposite direction. Slipping out of the rock behind me is Gryphon who hauls Dylan out of the hole followed by Matthew who spots the unconscious general and wastes no time in scrambling towards him. Followed by Gryphon they search him taking away his weapons and ripping his clothes to shreds till he wears nothing but tatters and threads.
