We have all the elementals!
Mystery is still unconscious in our small infirmary with Katie trying to find out what she can, Andrew is flying the ship to the nearest port to grab some extra supplies. Matthew and Gryphon continue to throw each other to the ground, practicing their powers and counting what bruises they could inflict upon the other.
I walk down the ships long hallway and stop in front of the only room we don't go in, peering into the window I find only darkness. The door opens soundlessly offering its roomy darkness to me willingly, then darkness envelops me in a calming blanket of night. Breathing in I'm surprised to find it clean of dust so flipping the light on cautiously, I am not prepared for what lays before me.
A large metal table is ringed by eight chairs all covered in plastic centered between the magnificent scene surrounding it. Dense forest stretches for miles all around the room bathed in light, the leaves almost dancing, but upon placing my hand on them the only movement is my hand against the circular rooms walls.
Casting my eyes around the entire room I can't help it "wow" I breath, but I can't be here any more, people need me. Flicking the light off I give once last glance to the well concealed room, finding no evidence of a rich forest canopy, pleased with my finding I can only guess who did it, but they will confess eventually.
Everything outside the enchanting rooms goes on, the ship travels on to unknown destinations even Gryphon and Matthew continue beating each other senseless. Suddenly Katie screams "Dylan come quick" a crash sounds and I push myself forward awaiting battle, fists raised and ready to see blood. Bursting in the room I gape, Katie is struggling to hold down Mystery who acts... possessed, rushing forward I clasp Mystery's head "Mystery, its us, settle down" I yell.
Catching a glance of her eyes I swallow hard. slits. "wake her up, do some thing" Katie yells, momentarily distracted Mystery rolls away from our grasp snarling, she is crouching low, too closely packed to move much so I lunge trying to sweep her into a crushing hug that would limit her movements more.
Cold metal slaps my face and Mystery escapes out the door and runs to the training room, where Matthew and Gryphon will stop her. Hope rises in me but then is overcome by fear, that we can't get her back. Crashing after her I hear only silence but that is soon gone and replaced by outraged screams, Katie's feet thunder close at my heels the entire time.
The training room door stands open but we don't falter even when a wave of pure energy pushes at us, Matthew has the floor shaking violently everywhere but the space beneath her feet. Griffin pushes her winds harder than ever before, but she only succeeds in throwing herself against the wall behind us, so Katie takes a stand. Moisture fly's up to hover at eye level from who knows where, surrounding all of us daring anyone to move.
Mystery shouts out a bunch of nonsense words that sound like coordinates, looking at us with the slightest bit of recognition before pain contorts her face and she stumbles clutching at her ribs, all of the water converges upon her lifting higher until she could be no higher. No longer clutching at her chest but her throat as the water swirls, turning I find Katie concentrating hard with her arm out stretched to Mystery with her fist out and knuckles white "what are you doing" I knock her hand down twisting her arm behind her back and letting go. Yet it is no use.
She continues to hold the water in the air and we all stare at Mystery who beats restlessly at the cage of water, clearly breathing. She thrusts an arm out of the churning bubble breaking the bubble and dropping to the ground with a sickening thud, we rush all at once ready to strike. When we got to her she was already unconscious, weirdly serene for someone having to go threw the events she had.
"interesting she can breath underwater" Katie says more interest in her voice than concern for their friend.
Gryphon goes to slap her but Matthew nocks the blow away mid strike "how could you? she could have died!"
Katie laughs coldness seeping into her words "and what of us, a demonically possessed person needs to be taken care of."
Andrew rushes in "what did I miss?" he asks but Katie storms off yelling back "I did what I thought I had to do would you not of done the same, Birdie" then she was gone and a few seconds later a door swings open only to be slammed shut again.
"what happened here? I heard someone shouting and lots of... interesting noises, care to fill me in guys, and Gryphon" she glares at him, but I speak instead "Mystery woke up but wasn't herself ... she went on a rampage that let to a fight and this" I gesture to the still form of our teacher.
"I hope she gave you coordinates cause we still don't know where we're going" Andrew says sadly a moment passes before Matthew jumps up "maybe she did" we glare at him "listen to me, she yelled something at us don't you remember!" Giddy with excitement he runs past us towards the cockpit without confirming whether we followed or not. Racing to catch up my heart soars we can complete the journey after all!
