Chapter 15- The Date

Savannah's Point of View

*Continuation of Flashback*

Shane smiled at me. "What's your name?"

"Savannah" I said. "Savannah McCall."

He chuckled. "Well, Savannah, looks like we both like walking on the same trail."

"Yeah, I guess we do" I agreed.

He was going to say something but hesitated.

Finally he said, "I know we just met and all but, my sisters and I are here for a little while, and I don't know anyone here, so I was wondering-" he stopped and cleared his throat. "Would you wanna go out with me tonight?"

A look of shock crossed my face. I was surprised. We really did just meet each other. Literally.

"Yeah" I said, and nodded. "Yeah, I'd love to."

He smiled and chuckled. "Cool. I'll pick you up at seven." I watched as he walked away.

I have a date tonight with a guy I barely know. Perfect.

*******At the restaurant********

Shane and I sat at a table in the back of a restaurant. It had dim lighting. It felt like we were at a bar.

"So, Shane" I said. He looked at me. "I'm curious. Why me?"

"Why you?" he asked, confused.

"Yes" I said." Why me. Of all the girls in Beacon Hills. Why me?"

He thought about it for a second. "You were the first girl I met."

I took a second to respond. "So before you came here you just decided that you were gonna ask the first girl you met to go out on a date with you?"

"Well" he said. "When you put it like that, no. I was gonna ask the first girl who I met that was special to go out on a date with me."

He smiled. I smiled back.

A waiter came with our food and put it on the table. While we ate, we talked.

"I wanted to get to know some of the people in Beacon Hills just in case my sisters and I are staying here for while." He told me.

"I understand that." I said. "So when did you come to Beacon Hills?"

"Two weeks ago. My sisters have some-" he took a minute to find the word. "Unfinished business here."

For the rest of the date we talked about easier things, like favorite movies, favorite tv shows, and favorite colors.

Shane took me home at nine fifteen. He said he had to be home by nine thirty.

I went up to my room. Scott was probably out somewhere with Stiles and mom was working late. I changed into my pjs and went to sleep.

********The Next Morning********

I woke up at eleven thirty. Stiles called me around noon.

"What's up, Stiles?" I asked.

"Where were you last night? Scott and I were looking for you." he said.

"I told you guys I was going on a date. Why?" I asked.

"There was a murder last night." he said. "The victim was killed around ten last night."

The same time Shane had to go home.
