Chapter 17- Guidance

Savannah's Point of View

I looked in the mirror. I was standing over the sink in the bathroom of the restaurant.

I could do this. I could still be with Shane even if he was part of the alpha pack.

"No, you can't" my mother's voice echoed.

She was standing behind me in the mirror. Her blonde hair just past her shoulders. Blue eyes so steel it felt as if she was looking into my soul, instead of the mirror.

"I can." I defended myself.

"Hunter" she said.

I turned around to face her. She had a disappointed look on her face.

"I'm not going to hurt him. I like him. And I am protecting my pack" I retorted.

She crossed her arms. "If you say so."

Shane's Point of View

I was waiting for Savannah to come back from the bathroom.

I liked Savannah. I want to be with her, the rest doesn't matter. I know who she really is.

"Stop lying to yourself, Shane. You and that girl can't be together." a familiar voice said. A hand rested on my shoulder. My mother.

"I'm not lying to myself, Mom." I told her.

She sat in the chair where Savannah was sitting and placed her hands on the table.

"Her mother killed me, Shane." she shouted at me. "I was the first werewolf her mother ever killed. Do you think your sisters will let her daughter live?"

I swallowed. The answer to that was no.

"Do you know what they would do if they knew you were here with her right now?" my mother asked.

Probably rip her apart. And then punish me until I die or until I committed suicide.

"They already got their revenge." I said. "Marin and Kali killed her four years ago. Made it look like a car accident."

"I know" my mother said. She moved close to me. "Someone is going to find out it wasn't an accident. Someone is going to think it's murder. You have to found out who it is." She straightened and stood up. "Make me proud, son."

She disappeared.

Savannah's Point of View

"They're not his family" I continued. "They're his pack. He chose to be a part of it."

"That's not true" she corrected. "His sister is part of that pack. You'll be killing part of his family."

"You mean like his sisters did to me?" I growled.

My mother leaned against the wall. "I think you could use some guidance, Hunter. But not from me. You'll find out who soon."

I looked back into the mirror. My mother was gone.
