Chapter 28- Connection to Shane

"All of your senses are gone?" I asked Derek.

I was sitting on the edge of his bed at the loft.

"Strength, speed, healing all of it" Derek explained. "Braeden's been giving me gun lessons."

I gave him a little slap on the shoulder. "I could have taught you that."

"Yeah you could have" he agreed. "Just makes me a little intimidated that my little sister knows how to shoot and I don't."

"So how are things going with Braeden?" I asked.

"I'm getting better at using the gun" he said.

I gave him a look.

"What?" He said.

"You know I'm not talking about the lessons right?"

Shane's Point of View

I stood in the basement of our mansion. I could hear my father walking down the dimly lit hallway behind me.

He entered the room and put his hand on my shoulder. Turning around to face me, he smiled.

"Everything going according to plan?" He asked. I detected a threatening tone I didn't like.

"Yes." I answered simply.

He turned around and walked over to the wall where our pack symbol was, staring at it.

"Look Dad, I don't get all this. Why did you send me to Beacon Hills with Alpha Pack?"

I could hear him chuckle. He turned around and walked back over to me. Again he put his hand on my shoulder. "A lot more than you know, my boy. A lot more than you know." He smiled at me again and walked out into the hallway.

*8 hours later*

I sat on the edge of my bed. Sage was sleeping in the bed with the blankets pulled over her. She liked to stay with me whenever she could so I let her stay in my room.

I get down on the floor and looked under my bed for the photo I was looking for.

It was old and ratted but I could still make out her face. A little girl with brown hair and blue eyes and the brightest smile you could ever imagine.

Hunter.

*8 years ago*

I searched around the house for the cure. My father poisoned one of the Hales and I needed to get the cure to them.

My mother returned before my father and gave the cure to me.

"Get this to the Hales, Shane" she whispered.

I took off and put the cure on the porch of the house. I rang the doorbell and ran to hide behind a tree.

Talia Hale came out and grabbed the vial looking around to see who put it there.

I took off back to my house.
