Chapter 19- Protectors

Scott's Point of View

I looked at the picture Doctor Deaton gave me. I was shocked to see that it was my cousin Savannah in the picture.

I didn't understand how this could be. It had to be a mistake. The girl in the photo looked about eight years old. This had to be a mistake.

I showed Stiles the picture.

"Whoa" he said, shocked. "Is this....?"

"Savannah" I said, nodding my head.

"No. No way." Stiles said. "Savannah a Hale? How's that even possible?"

"She's part of the Hale family. Derek and Cora are her older brother and sister and Peter is her Uncle" Doctor Deaton said. "There's a lot of things you don't know about her past, Scott." he said. "There are things you need to know."

Savannah's Point of View

Derek told me that Scott and Stiles were at Doctor Deaton's office.

"I might not need to tell them anything now" I said. Derek, Cora and Peter were all standing in front of me. "Alan might already be doing that."

"They need to hear it from you, Hunter" Peter said. "They might be able to take it better."

"Yeah" I said, chuckling. "They might take the fact that my entire life is a lie better if they hear it from me."

"Your life's not a lie" Derek pointed out.

"No" I told them. "But it certainly is a secret. Scott doesn't even know who I am."

Scott's Point of View

Stiles and I were now sitting on the tables in the office.

"Savannah's mother, your Aunt Sierra" he said, with a nod at me.  "Had a connection with the Hale family."

"What kind of connection?" Stiles asked.

"Very close friends. Almost family. Sierra and her husband Nathan helped protect the pack" Doctor Deaton said.

Scott's Point of View

I changed the subject. "So you said that Savannah-" I corrected myself. "Hunter could help us. How?"

"Is she a hunter or something?" Stiles asked.

"No" Doctor Deaton said.

"I'm an protector" someone said behind us. It was Savannah. "There's a difference."

"Unlike hunters" Doctor Deaton explained. "They protect the pack, instead of trying to destroy it."

Savannah came into the room and sat on the table in front of us.
