How To Kidnap Patrick Stump (and Dan Howell)

Chapter 7

Dan immediately pressed the call back button (managing it somehow, even though he was holding the phone behind his back). He waited in tense silence as the phone rang at the other end of the line. No one picked up.

"What do you think's happened to him?" asked Dan fearfully.

Patrick shook his head mournfully. "No idea." Brendon had no clue either.

Dan took a deep breath. "I'm sure he's fine. He's probably just been attacked by a squirrel or something," he said with a smile, reminiscent of the previous time that had happened.

Patrick nodded, sure that Dan was right. Yet he couldn't deny the tugging feeling that maybe something bad had happened.

"Hey, Dan, you don't happen to have Pete's number do you?" said Patrick, looking up eagerly.

"Um, I'm not sure, I can check..." said Dan. He spoke into the voice control on his phone. The call connected. A huge grin appeared on his face.

"I must have saved his number from the time he prank called me," he laughed.

"Hello?" said Pete.

"Hi Pete, this is Dan."

"Oh hey, Dan, what's up?"

"Well, I'm here with Patrick and-"

"What? Where are you?"

"Well that's the thing, we don't really know," said Dan anxiously.

"What happened to you?" Asked Pete worriedly.

"Um...we were kidnapped. By fangirls."

Pete was silent.

Dan proceeded to tell him the whole story, and how Brendon had come to rescue them but been captured too.

"Wait, Brendon's there? Does he know where you are?"

Dan looked up at Brendon.

Brendon nodded. "Yeah, I'll talk to him. Hey Pete."

"Hi Brendon. So, can you give me directions from the Pheonix hotel?"

"Well, I can try."

Pete wrote down the directions, then said he was getting himself and the rest of the band into a car and they'd be there in about half an hour.

Patrick breathed out a sigh of relief. They were going to be rescued. It would be fine. The fangirls would not kidnap anyone else.

But he thought too soon.
