I walked into the room, closing the door quietly behind me. Kellin was still asleep, and I could barely bring myself to wake him up. But it had to be done, because we had to talk.

I sat beside him on the bed, shaking him lightly. “Kells?” I said hesitantly. He let out a small groan and cuddled into me, and I was ready to back out when he opened his eyes. “Vic?” he said sleepily.

“It’s me,” I told him softly, running my fingers through his hair. His eyes slipped closed again, and only then did I see the deep circles under his eyes. My heart squeezed, and I knew that I was going to let him sleep.

“Will you lay with me?” he whispered, not opening his eyes. I swallowed, nodding even thoguh I knew he couldn’t see me. “Of course, sweetheart,” I whispered back, climbing into bed with him. His arms immediately went around my waist, his head burying itself in my chest, and that’s where the tears began.

Kellin, my precious KELLIN, was still cutting. Cutting because of the pain I didn’t notice.

I thought that Kellin was asleep, but he wasn’t. He must’ve felt me trembling because he opened his eyes and frowned, wiping away my tears. “Vic? Are you alright?” he asked softly.

That was when I completely fucking lost it.

I brought my hands up to my face, sobbing hard. “Why are you still cutting?” I cried, pulling my hands back to look at him through my tears. His face had paled, and he became a shaking, stuttering mess.

“I-I’m sorry, V-Vic,” he whispered. ‘But you weren’t supposed to f-find o-out.” “Mike did!” I exclaimed. “Mike found your blades and toldme. How could you not tellme you were in pain, Kellin? Don’t you know thatI care?”

Tears started streaming down his face. “I’m so sorry, Vic!” he cried. “I just didn’t want to bother you with  my problems! I didn’t want you to have to play hero and save my pathetic life! I’m not worth anything, so I dono’t know why you’re even with me!”

I threw a leg over him so I was straddling him, leaning down and connecting our lips harshly. He let out a startled whimper and I pulled away, fisting his hair. “I told you I never wanted to hear you say those things again, because they’re not fucking true,” I said, low and quiet. “Don’t you dare say or even fucking THINK those things, Kellin Quinn. You are perfect in every sense of the word.’

“Don’t l-lie,” he whimpered, closing his eyes. “Please don’t lie.”

“I’m not lying!” I yelled, making him flinch. I lowered my voice and started again.

“Kellin, you are so perfect,” I murmured, stroking his cheek. “I love you so much. I love everything about you. I love the way your hair sweeps across your face. I love the way your gorgeous eyes light up when you’re happy. I love your smile, I love the way you dress. I love the way you eat your pizza; starting at the crust, ALWAYS,” I said, making him smile a little.

“Whatever,’ he said, blushing a little. I smiled and went on.

“I love how you’re so caring about others. You always make others happy, even though you have no idea how to do the same for yourself. You’re so supportive, and so loving, and so kind, and so beautiful, and have a beautiful voice, an amazing personality, an amazing body. And let me tell you, you know how to ride a dick, alright.”

He let out an adorable giggle, running his fingers through my hair. “I love you, even though that was a little inappropriate.”

I smiled, leaning our foreheads together as I looked in his eyes. “I love you too. Promise me you’ll stop?” I whispered. He bit his lip, but nodded. “Promise,” he whispered. I held up my pinkie and he rolled his eyes. “What are we, five?”
